Q: what is difference between the venue model at 178 , besides price, Skullcandy Venue Wireless Over-Ear Headphones my 13 year old goes through one pair a year because of wear and tear around the cushioned ear cup looking for durability.

Regarding your question about the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless Over-Ear Headphones: There are quite a few diffences such as bluetooth range, version of bluetooth, and the addition of noise cancellation on the Venue models, the Venue overall is the more premium pair of headphones. Though I did do some research on Skullcandy's warranty and they do have a 2 year warranty on all headphones so as long as it's normal wear and tear you may wish to contact them as well. I believe I've had these for almost a year and they are working just fine. The ability to control the bass and ease of controlling the volume are both excellent features for users. Songs with a lot of bass sound so good but when needed I just turn down the bass on the left headphone. Thumbs up all day long! The quality of the sound coming through these headphones is, to me, like wearing a pair of Bose headphones. No lie! How do I know? My son has a pair of Bose headphones and his cost an arm and a leg lol. His sound great but mine from Target sounds even better!! No lies! These were r highly recommended to me by an artist who requires excellent and quality working headphones. His recommendation was accurate.

Great at first then after about 4 months the sound started to cut out. Headphones were never dropped or mistreated. But it's gotten Progressively worse. Very disappointed in this product, spend your money on a more reliable brand.

Headphones do not charge after a year. The warranty is up and no way to get them to turn on. Can only use the cord connection.

I purchased these today and took them to the gym, I could not keep them on for more than 5 minutes because of how tight they where on my head and my ears went painfully numb... definitely returning these tomorrow.

Incredible sound, the people around me can't hear them when all the way up. Bass is incredible! They put my JBL pair to shame... definitely better construction than any I have ever had. Best bang for the money! Don't second guess and just buy these.

I’m terribly disappointed with these headphones 1. It’s states over the ear, but really the cups sit on your ears somewhat, unless you have tiny ears then they would probably be considered over the ear. 2. I find these headphones extremely tight on my head, which over extended periods of wearing starts to hurt my head 3. The sound quality is terrible, I have a wired pair of HD595 sennheisers that are amazing in sound and comfort, when I compare these wireless headphones to the sennheisers the one huge difference is distortion, there is so much bass in these headphones I find when I turn up the volume the distortion / sound quality is really really poor. I adjusted the bass boost all the way down to see if that would make an improvement and it was very minor. For the cost of these I was expecting a little better sound quality. I will say surprisingly they feel well built in your hand and not cheap , but that’s my only positive note

These sound great! I’ve tried other headphones and always come back to these. They charge very quickly and they hold the charge for a long time. The reason I’m giving them two stars is that I’ve had at least five pairs and they always, always, ALWAYS break at the hinges. Skullcandy has a one year warranty and they never fail to break before then. I have to pay to ship them (around $10) to Skullcandy to take advantage of the warranty but I always get a new pair from the claim. I really wish I could find another pair of headphones that sound like these but don’t break like them. The ear muffs fall off sometimes too but I just super glue them back on and they’re fine so that’s not a huge deal to me. Another issue is that the Bluetooth connection gets spotty after you’ve had them for a while.

I got these headphones to help with my auditory sensitivity because they’re noise cancelling. They’re pretty good at blocking out noise, and I liked how when listening to music you could feel the bass. However, the mechanism used to create that feeling is this metal bar through the head strap that makes this god awful *boing* noise when you’re not actively listening to music. Every time I’d put them on or take them off or adjust them, that sound was really bothersome. Also, the hinge where the ear pieces fold, seems very flimsy. The sound quality was okay the first day but seemed to go downhill the second day with some crackling. Not to mention the sound quality with the included cable is somehow even worse than over Bluetooth. Anyway, if you’re autistic like me or just even have auditory sensitivity and are considering these for that, I don’t recommend them. For a cheap over the ear headphones with decent sound, they’re okay but I don’t think worth the price.

The bass is actually better than I was expecting. These are the best headphones I've ever used. The metal smooth adjustment is also a major feature I never knew I was missing from previous pairs I've had.

The headphones are overall fantastic. * The sound quality is great and I love the BASS adjustment option. * Fit is adjustable and they are very comfortable. I have also worn these to the gym - they do not move and stay right where they belong. * I LOVE that they are collapsible and can fit into the bag they come with - a nice bonus; The bag is soft on the inside and has slip pockets for the charger and jack. * Charging is easy and headphones do as stated and last for hours. I have not tested exactly how long as of yet but I have reached at least 2 hours.
