Smood Sweets Sour Watermelon Candy Dates - 3oz

I like these! They’re truly guilt free. I’m working on healing my relationship with food and these make me feel good looking at the macros. You have to go into it open minded. I loved the dark chocolate covered dates I made while pregnant but was worried about the coating. The coating is shockingly super flavorful. No dyes in them which I also love. I was weary about them taking too long to chew so I felt like I was just eating a plain date but I don’t feel that at all. My husband tried them and said they were pretty good and he isn’t a date guy. The outside is a hard shell and the inside is chewy.

They are REALLY good. I was really surprised how by how tasty they are! I’ll definitely get more soon.

I have tried multiple flavors and these are probably my favorite. They just taste so similar to one of my favorite candies. But I love that there is no added sugar and that it uses whole pitted dates to get the chewiness. So yummy!.

These have a very strong source smell to them when you open the bag. My son said they taste sour but not as strong as they smell. The dates themselves he said were chewy. Overall, he really liked them.

These tasted just like sour watermelon candies but a much healthier version. I love that they have no sugar added but take advantage of the dates natural chewiness and sweetness to create gummy candy. And compared to a normal bag of candy I actually felt like I could just stick to the serving size and satisfy my sweet tooth

I like that the bag is resealable so they can easily be taken on the go! I enjoyed them knowing that they are a healthier choice. This flavor was more of a sour candy so if you like that try them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the Smood Sweets sour watermelon candy dates. These are actually super good. They have a hard candy coating over a fairly large date. They are tangy but not too sour, not too sweet, the date is firm and chewy but not hard. These are so different but they are really good. Perfect for when you need a sweet treat but don’t want to over do it. 4 pieces are 80 calories and there is no added sugar. My kids loved these!

My first impression was that the dates were larger and more varied in shape than I expected, though that seems obvious when you consider that dates do tend to be random. The candy shell is so sweet and tangy that it’s hard to believe it’s not made of a more typical sugar-containing candy. The watermelon flavor is very nostalgic and I am very impressed with how well this combination worked. I put the bag back after taking out a couple and then went for more, which is not typical for me. So I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like these and I think they fill a niche in tasting like something unhealthy while actually being reasonably good for you. I did have a long, sharp pit in one, so be cautious about sharing with small children! The package also warns against pits so I knew to be careful.

I love that they do not have any added color, flavor or sweeteners. We tried this flavor and the sweet berry fish flavor. Everyone preferred the watermelon. I will definitely buy more of this brand.

The shell does taste like sour watermelon candy and is a bright green color so kids might like these. The shell, unfortunately, totally covers up any date flavor. There were only 12 pieces in the bag so a little pricey for just a few servings.

The only thing is for me it’s a little too sweet - dates are already so sweet, and then the coating has even more sweetener in it. But I still enjoy and think they’re a great alternative to more sugary snacks if you have that craving!

I also love sour candy and was intrigued with the sour watermelon shell. The dates are pitted, which is really nice. The sour watermelon crunchy shell is a mild sour flavor, so if you like strong sour flavors, this probably isn’t for you. I really enjoyed the crunchy shell with the sweetness of the date. These are the perfect snack for traveling or after dinner!

The sour mixed with the sweet is a perfect combination. The hardshell candy coating is delicious in spot on visually things don’t look as I expected. They would. The packaging is beautiful but leaves a less than desirable amount inside with most of it being filled with air. I would suggest smaller packaging as do not upset anyone has when I open this item I was astonished to see how few items were inside.

The texture was perfect with the crunchy candy coating and then the date inside. The sour aspect really threw me off and that’s what I didn’t like, but overall they’re not bad. Decently healthy compared to true candy as well.

The bright green color threw me off a little. My kids tried one and said they liked it so that was a fun treat for them. The package only has 11 pieces inside which seems too little. However, I think you can only eat a few at a time so they’d last longer than other candy snacks.

The watermelon candy coating flavoring gave me that sour taste right away but then it calms with the watermelon and the soft chewy date inside. They also are all very nice sized pieces so you get that satisfied sweet to meet your sweet tooth. It’s so good you should absolutely buy this!

Eventually I got them to take a bite, and they were begging for more! My kids love candy and I don’t really like feeding little ones all that processed sugar so this was great since it’s dates and they loved as much as if it were actual candy!
