As recommended by the AAP, NEVER leave your baby unsupervised in the lounger, and NEVER use your lounger as a sleep device.
Snuggle Me Safety Don’ts:
Don’t leave baby unsupervised.
Don’t use the lounger as a place for your baby to sleep.

Always transition your baby to a safe sleep device such as a crib or bassinet for sleep.

Q: Is this safe to use for co-sleeping in parents bed?
A: Cosleeping in a bed with parents is risky to the baby's health and not recommended. Sharing the bed with your baby multiplies the risk for sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) fivefold, according to a 2013 study. The American Academy of Pediatrics cites the dangers of SIDS and suffocation, and recommends that parents keep their baby out of their bed, especially during the first 3 months of life.
submitted byterri - 4 years agoA: I believe it is recommended for naps, but not co-sleeping
submitted byMeg - 3 years agoA: Can I still add a note?
submitted byCol - 2 months agoA: Thank you so much for your question. At Snuggle Me, safety is our #1 priority. Our infant loungers were originally designed to be used when actively engaging with your baby during supervised lounging or tummy time. Because our lounger was not intended to be used for sleep or as a co-sleeper, we do not recommend using the lounger in, or in place of a crib, bassinet or as a sleeping device (as recommended by the AAP). For more information on proper use and safety, you can check out the Positioning Tutorial on the Snuggle Me website as that provides a ton of helpful information, tips and a great visual.

Q: Is it exclusively for newborns? I just came accross these and I have a almost 3 month old baby.
A: Hi Maritza, thank you for asking! A baby won't "outgrow" the infant lounger until they measure 21 inches from the top of their head to the bottom of their bum. Many little ones will continue to use it well past 9 months as there are no set minimum or maximum weight or height requirements for the infant lounger. The most common position is to place your baby's head and torso within the center sling and as they grow their legs will drape over the bottom cushion.

Q: Hi, can I use bassinet sheets to cover this?
A: Hi, Brianna! We recommend our Snuggle Me® Infant Lounger Covers. They're made with soft 100% organic cotton to protect your lounger from minor leaks and spills. They're made to easily slide on and off your lounger for quick washing, and to easily switch up colors.

Q: If it says gumdrop is the color does that mean it’s the lounger with the gumdrop cover you could take off?
A: Hi Ky, thanks so much for your question! The lounger itself is dyed the gumdrop color and does not include a removable cover. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to us via care@snugglemeoragnic.com.

Q: What is the best way to wash and dry this?
A: Hi Dani! Thanks so much for reaching out with your question! Our infant loungers are machine washable. We suggest using cold water, mild detergent and a gentle agitation setting. If using a dryer, use a cool temperature setting or lay flat to air dry. Make sure to dry your lounger COMPLETELY before using again. You can also check out the Wash + Care tutorial on our website which I've linked for you below. If there's anything else we can support you with please let us know! Q: Is this something i can buy for my 5 month old? Till when do they fit in it?
A: Hi! There are no minimum or maximum size requirements for the Snuggle Me infant lounger. It can be used from newborn to 9 months+, and some little ones will continue to use it for lounging as they become a toddler.

Q: Does this item come with a removable cover?
A: Great question! Snuggle Me loungers do not come with a removable cover. However, we highly recommend purchasing one (or two) of our organic cotton covers to use with your lounger. While the entire lounger is machine washable, it's much easier to wash a cover and saves added wear and tear on the lounger itself!
