Q: Do you know the best by date or expiration date on the cereal? I was going to buy 4 boxes but I'm concerned about the expiration date.

A: The boxes I bought in-store this month are best by June 2, 2026. In past years, they've also had BB dates of late spring to early summer, so I think you'd be fine. I'll warn you, there are a lot fewer clusters in this year's batch though. I had an entire bowl of just flakes.

My favorite cereal, but sad this year
This is my favorite cereal, and I look forward to it every fall! I stock up so I have enough to last me into the next year and don't have to be without for too long (usually early summer "best by" dates on the box). I bought a couple boxes this month, and the first bowl I poured didn't have any clusters in it! I pulled the bag out of the box to check if they still include them. There were some clusters further down in the bag, but a lot fewer than previous years. I'm bummed, because those add most of the flavor I love! It's usually a 5-star product, but this year, it's not.

I finally got this (it was impossible to find) and was so excited! Who doesn’t love pumpkin spice??? Apparently Kellogg since I couldn’t taste spices OR pumpkin……just sugar!! HUGE disappointment!!

Barely any clusters - did you change the formula?
I used to love this cereal, and bought several boxes every time I would see it. I just bought my first box this season, and I was extremely disappointed to see that it was mostly just flakes, with barely any of the white spice clusters that were what made this cereal so enjoyable to me. I took the bag out of the box and shook it well to make sure that the clusters had not just settled to the bottom of the bag, but there really were hardly any clusters at all in there. If I just want pumpkin spice flake cereal I can buy plain cereal and sprinkle my own pumpkin spice seasonings on it - way cheaper! It was the spice clusters that added the taste and texture that made me crave this cereal - without those, I have no desire to buy this cereal any more, especially at that higher price point.

The pumpkin spice cereal is absolutely delicious, I wish it was sold all year!! The flavor profile is a definite WIN with the fall flavors of all spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, yogurt clusters. The cereal flakes are delicious too because they are thick, crunchy, and don’t get soggy in your milk, which is a plus!
