Q: What is the typical expiration date of cereal?

submitted by Lsya - 5 years ago
  • A: The available stock of this product may include individual packages with different expiration dates. Target uses a “first-in, first-out” inventory management process and carefully monitors product expiration.

submitted byConsumer Care - 5 years ago
  • A: Most stores do not carefully monitor their expiration date. Usually items are sold before they expire or become discontinued before being taken off shelves. Team members typically do not have the time to use the FIFO method and rotate products. There is, however, more close monitoring on perishable products.

Q: Why is the Iron content on the family size only 1.8mg (10%DV) vs the 16.5mg(90% DV) on the regular size box?

submitted by SP in DC - 1 month ago
  • A: Currently, the iron is 1mg per 1 cup serving, 6% of the daily value. Please note that our recipes may change and we encourage you to always review the label on the package you receive.

Q: is cereal sweetened?

submitted by Sad Bird Lady - 1 year ago
  • A: It tastes sweeter than regular raisin brand. I think it’s the clusters that are sweet.

    Not Original

When you change the recipe it is not Original; just because you put Original on the label. The new flakes suck. Must be cheaper to produce.

    Where are the "Clusters "?

I have bought 2 boxes of this in the last month and there were no "Clusters" in the cereal. Just randomly scattered bits of oats throughout the box. Very disappointing.

    What blueberries?? Where blueberries?

It's called BLUEBERRY Bran Crunch. The box includes a picture of fresh blueberries. The illustration shows cereal pleasantly dotted with lovely dried blueberries. So what would possess me to expect that the box would actually CONTAIN DRIED BLUEBERRIES?? Sadly, it does NOT. A hint of "Blueberryness" maybe, but I don't want to start my day feeling lied to about blueberries. "Less than 2 percent dried blueberries..." more like NONE. Really disappointed in this one.

What happened to the good ole Raisin Bran flakes??

It's been a while since I've had Raisin Bran but I think they changed the flakes. they're awful and they chew like wet cardboard. What is this? So sad, I wish companies wouldn't change age old tried and true formulas. What could be the reason for this? Money???

Call the FBI! The Blueberries are AWOL!

Blueberry (?) Bran Crunch? There wasn't the slightest hint of a blueberry in the box I bought yesterday, right after the product had been put on the Food Lion shelf! Not even an artificial taste of a blueberry! Flakes weren't bad, though. . . But where were the blueberries?

Change is not always good in this case

I have been eating Raisin Bran daily for decades. Your change in recipe has been tolerated but is now too poor to ignore. You will lose this faithful customer.

Flakes have flat taste and so bland and dry.

The flavor of the bran flakes in Kellogg s Raisin Bran taste different bathe flavor is flat. I just bought a box of the Mega Size box today. They seem drier and lack the flavor I’m used to. This will be my last box. I think I’ll try the other major brand next time.

    Bad Tasting Raisins

I have eaten and enjoyed Kellogg's Raisin Bran for as long as I can remember. However, recently, the raisins have changed. I can't decide what has happened, but it's very unpleasant. They almost taste as if the manufacturer started with rotten grapes. I will not buy any more Kellogg's Raisin Bran.

    No blueberries!

I'm a daily consumer of Raisin Bran Crunch and decided to try Blueberry Crunch. Well, someone left out the blueberries! I literally dug through and didn't find one (dried) blueberry. Disappointing - I love blueberries. Won't be trying that again.

Raisin Bran Cereal Crunch was excited but.........

I bought this two weeks ago to try it because I had coupon for them and they were on sale at No Frills. I'm so use tot he original Raisin Bran cereal because it's my favorite. Decided to try this particular one out since it was new. I'm so glad that I got it using it a coupon because this is overly sweet for me. In order to eat it I had to mix it with a plain cereal.

    Where are the raisins

Almost no raisins in each box not getting my money’s worth . I am extremely disappointed in this product. It used to be much better. Number on the box is KLA 052 01:08 . However it has not only been this box . Is cost cutting more important than quality products and customer satisfaction ?

So much added sugar is not necessary

It isn't necessarily that the produce is poor, but come on......16 g added sugar!!!!!!! That is worse than Cap'n Crunch. It's nice that there is so much added fiber, but you cannot consider this a healthy breakfast cereal.

    Crushed flakes

I’ve been a fan of Raisin Bran Crunch for years and years but this last box I bought will probably be my last. The entire box, not just a portion or the bottom, was crushed bran flake bits. There were barely any full flakes, it was more like a box of raisin branch sand.

    Oh hellll(o) NO! Skip this!

Im in my 20s, and we don’t complain much about stuff. Just move on if we didnt like it, but this was expensive for it to be this bad and it pmo😭😭. It was literally all bran flakes. I am not exaggerating. There were three “clusters” in my whole bag, and I bought the family size because I expected it to be regular raisin brand crunch with blue berries instead of raisins. Like what is this! The clusters also were smaller that half a bran flake and weren’t even crunchy. They disappeared into nothing. It was so bad, and it makes me super unlikely to try the original Raisin Bran and Raisin Branch Crunch. I was getting back into cereal since being a child, and now I’m like nah. LOL
