Q: What is the typical expiration date of cereal?

submitted by Lsya - 5 years ago
  • A: The available stock of this product may include individual packages with different expiration dates. Target uses a “first-in, first-out” inventory management process and carefully monitors product expiration.

submitted byConsumer Care - 5 years ago
  • A: Most stores do not carefully monitor their expiration date. Usually items are sold before they expire or become discontinued before being taken off shelves. Team members typically do not have the time to use the FIFO method and rotate products. There is, however, more close monitoring on perishable products.

Q: Why is the Iron content on the family size only 1.8mg (10%DV) vs the 16.5mg(90% DV) on the regular size box?

submitted by SP in DC - 2 months ago
  • A: Currently, the iron is 1mg per 1 cup serving, 6% of the daily value. Please note that our recipes may change and we encourage you to always review the label on the package you receive.

Q: is cereal sweetened?

submitted by Sad Bird Lady - 1 year ago
  • A: It tastes sweeter than regular raisin brand. I think it’s the clusters that are sweet.

    Toooooo sweet

I bought about a month ago and it’s been just sitting here since after eating one bowl full. This is just too too sweet. Not sure if it has always been like this. I’m so sorry I decided to try this instead of just plain Raisin Bran. I refuse to eat another bowl of this cereal. I wish I could return it.

    Bioengineered Ingredients!?

I was so excited to find that a brand name cereal had ingredients that I could read and not a bunch of chemicals or enriched flour. Imagine my surprise when I find out that it does have bioengineered ingredients, genetic engineering that would never happen in nature. Sorry, I likely won't be buying it anymore.

    Fake flavor

Don’t expect blueberries or blueberry flavored clusters in this new cereal, I don’t know what this flavor is but it’s not blueberries or good tasting. I bought 2 Family boxes expecting it to be a big hit with my family, nope, my son asked me why his cereal tasted weird.

Product delivered outdated by over a year!

🤢 Expired for a year & 1/2 when delivered. Really?!!! Why is it still on the shelf? Worse yet, why would the shopper/delivery person choose this?!

    Too much Sugar

I gave it 3 stars because it is pretty much like the average cereal, too much sugar. I’ve had it a few times but it’s a cereal I will not buy because it’s just too sweet. I thought Raisin Bran was supposed to be healthy. This version can’t be.

So how do you promote Blueberry Bran Crunch with a picture of blueberries on the package and not have ANY blueberries in the cereal? Highly disappointing and very misleading advertising

    You've Ruined It

My husband and I have been eating Raisin Bran our whole lives and USED to love it. Why buy a successful brand only to destroy everything we loved about it? The flakes are now bland like cardboard and the raisins are smaller and fewer. Lost two decades long customers.

    Where are the blueberries

This product should be named chemical blueberry bran because it is less than 2% blueberries. It’s just bran essentially. the crunches were tiny too. This product is an embarrassment and i’ll be sticking to general mills going forward.

    Don't recommend anymore

I used to like Raisen Bran cereal, but the flakes are hard, thicker, and very hard to chew. I liked the old recipe better. I won't be buying another box of this stuff. It's awful.

    Where are the blueberries?

While the taste is great, the picture on the box is very deceiving. It shows seven blueberries on it and if you’re lucky, you’ll find one blueberry in your bowl of cereal, which was disappointing.

    Crushed packages

Lately, the orders that I have placed for delivery are arriving crushed. I had ordered a Star Wars Monopoly game as a gift from a third party seller. I’m returning it tomorrow. This is a Christmas gift and looks like it’s been used. Not happy with my deliveries lately

This is my favorite cereal but recently I’m noticing there’s les and less raisin in the cereal. What are we doing?? These boxes of Raisin Bran have more bran than raisin? Please I beg give we the people an equally portioned amount of both. This is sickening, do better.

    Love the flavor

I bought because I was thrilled to see a cereal with blueberries. I never ate Raisin Bran because I don't like raisins. I was very disappointed though in the amount; none, of actual blueberries. The box shows a lot, the flavor is there... But where is the fruit?

Not a single blueberry to be found in my box. The bran tasted OK, but it has a fake blueberry flavoring that definitely tastes like a lab.

30 Years of Loyalty Ruined by Raisin Pebbles

I’ve been eating Raisin Bran for 30 years. THIRTY. It’s been my faithful breakfast companion through every major life phase — college, kids, chaos, and cholesterol checks. But apparently Kellogg’s decided to ruin one of the few stable things left in this world. The raisins are now ROCKS. Not chewy. Not sweet. Not even edible unless you’re trying to chip a tooth and call your dentist before 9 a.m. Every box I’ve bought in the last two months — from Florida to Tennessee to Ohio — same issue. It’s like someone swapped the raisins for aquarium gravel and said, “They’ll never notice.” This isn’t a “bad batch.” This is a full-scale raisin rebellion. Whatever chemical, supplier, or misguided corporate brainstorm caused this needs to be undone immediately. My jaw shouldn’t get a workout before I’ve even had coffee. I’ve been loyal since the 90s. Through recipe tweaks, smaller flakes, fewer raisins — I stayed. But this? This is the hill I die on. I refuse to spend another dime on a cereal that now doubles as a dental deductible. Pros: • Great if you’re trying to strengthen your bite force or test dental implants. • Bran flakes still exist, I guess. Cons: • Raisins now qualify as weapons. • Betrayed after 30 years of loyalty. • Emotionally damaged. Unless Kellogg’s fixes this travesty, I’m breaking up with Raisin Bran. It’s been a long relationship, but I draw the line at breakfast assault.
