You may expect sugar or artificial flavoring in breakfast cereal. Get Real! Get Grapenuts ! Terrific with yogurt or sour cream. Cooks well into pancakes. Makes a great combo with orange segments as a trail snack. Even used them instead of panto on fresh trout. Hand fed them to Island deer in the San Juans.

Never, ever, ever invest any money into this product. The blandness and dirt flavor is probably the worst I have ever tasted. Again, DO NOT BUY!!! Buy some Coco Pebbles or Frosted Flakes.

Serve them this cereal for breakfast. It's possible grape nuts are made in the same processing plant as gerbil food pellets.

I eat this in winter... add some milk, honey and raisins and then zap it in the microwave. Or one can heat up the milk in a saucepan as well. It softens the cereal. Perfect for cold winter mornings. .

By itself with or without milk not so great. Now I added to my favorite brand flakes. That adds a a little extra texture to my bran flakes. I like it a lot. Mr D likes it

I ODd on cold cereal years ago so I don't eat it that way. I've been trying to find healthier recipes for certain things and especially boost my fiber intake, and there are a lot of good ways to use Grape Nuts. So far my favorite is Grape Nuts bread, a recipe from the 1950s: it's a quick bread, basically a nut bread without actual nuts. Very easy, quick, affordable, but best of all, tasty! Perfect for breakfast or a tea break. I just have butter on mine but it would be good with jelly/jam or whatever. I found the recipe on Pinterest.

Brown whole grains that look like ground up rocks. I don't know why some of the best stuff made for our bodies taste so BLEH! Eat this stuff regularly if you want to have a health-packing body and live a healthy life. Just be warned; the cereal is as hard as rocks and it taste like sawdust/air/nothing. BITTERsweet.

This cereal is totally underrated! It's full of flavor, fiber and nutrients like iron and folate which are often hard to find in fortified cereals and grains. It's also versatile - I can bake with it, add it to casseroles or just eat it as cereal for a healthy snack. Thank you Grapenuts!

Grape Nuts with Bananas

I have really good memories of eating Grape Nuts as a child with my great aunt. I loved nutty/hard cereals. So when I developed an allergy to nuts as an adult, I went back to eating Grape Nuts, and haven't looked back. Grape Nuts with a banana, Grape Nuts with yogurt, Grape Nuts with berries. Either one; you can't go wrong!

My daughter saw a 4lb. Box and bought it for me as a gift for healthy eating. The best if used by info is : MAY1422RGA 3. 14 56. When I opened it last night to have a bowl, it has an "off"Smell and as I ate the first spoonful that smell stayed with me affecting the taste. Since the use by date is several months away I assumed it would be ok to use. I was hoping you could tell me when it was packaged. Since the store where it was purchased has only been open for a few months, I would expect that it would be pretty fresh?!
