    Please restore the old recipe!

    Quaker oatmeal squares used to be the king of cereals. They were perfect for a healthy, filling breakfast. They had just the right amount of sweetness and a fantastic texture. However, the recipe changed sometime in the last few years, and they're now a shadow of their former selves. The texture is the worst part of the change. It's hard to explain, but the new recipe is less fibrous and crunchier than the old recipe (in a bad way). Please, Quaker, bring back the original recipe!

    It's awful now, change it back.

    The recipe has clearly changed. What once was a great product is now tasteless & completely dissatisfying. Reverse course and bring back the original.

    Recipe changed

    I used to love these. Didn’t have them for a few years but bought them this week. The recipe has certainly changed. Less sweetness and maple syrup flavor. Disappointed.

    Gone to he%% in a hand basket

    Used to love this cereal. I thought I’d give it a try one day (I don’t eat cereal anymore) and they were absolutely disgusting. What happened? Yuck! Yet again another company making their once good product cheaper, less nutritious and revolting. I do eat oatmeal and I will not ever buy another Quaker product, so I switched my oatmeal to Trader Joe’s brand.

    Great Health Snack

    I enjoy eating as a snack (without milk)...nice crunchy taste. Love that it's healthy for me and the brown sugar is definitely a healthier option. Love it.

    Great flavor and crunch

    One of my favorite cereals! The brown sugar flavor is delicious without being overly sweet, and the oatmeal squares have a really satisfying crunch.     Used to be my favorite cereal

    Quaker did a voluntary recall of a lot of their products and this used to be a very good cereal, healthy a little bit of sweetness, but not too much sugar in it stay crunchy and milk. Then when they put it back on the shelves, they changed it. It’s not as sweet it gets soggy and milk right away. I don’t know why they couldn’t just keep it the way it was.

    Worst cereal I have ever had.

    Disappointing both in flavor and texture. I expected a crunchy texture something that wouldn't get soggy or mushy immediately after pouring milk. I can't even begin to describe what it felt like. I just wanted to spit it out. The flavor was average and plain. Now I'm trying to find some other use for it instead of just chucking it into the trash.

    Sounds like I missed out on the better version!

    Not bad dry or in some yogurt, but I wouldn't say they tasted like brown sugar. Admittedly not much flavor of anything at all. But: TERRIBLE IN MILK. ZERO FLAVOR AT ALL IN MILK. Needs stronger flavor to be worth buying again.

    So I recently got back on my oatmeal square kick and I got a box, and was highly disappointed when I opened it. Back in the day the oatmeal squares were actually squares and had flavor. These are no oatmeal squares. This cereal is now oatmeal rectangles that taste like cardboard. What the heck. I want my oatmeal SQUARES back. Please change your ways, don’t fix what was not broken. This is so disappointing I will never get these again. Ruined my day.

    What the heck!!!! This was my favorite cereal and now its HORRIBLE !!! This is sad and disappointing. I got a box and was so excited to snack on it after a long day and was shocked when I opened the box, this is NOT my cereal. We demand our beloved cereal returned to us.     Bought them after not trying them for years, was really looking forward to it as it was one of my favorite cereals growing up but I was disappointed when I tasted them as they taste NOTHING like they used to. Did some research as the squares seemed smaller than I remembered and came across hundreds of people having the same experience, everyone claiming that this new recipe tastes like cardboard. This new recipe is so bad, hopefully they revert whatever changes they made.
