SPLASH Premium Ice Melt starts working on contact and melts ice down to -15°F helping reduce the risk of slipping on surfaces. SPLASH Premium Ice Melt is formulated to be less harmful to plants and vegetation. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Apply 2-4 oz (1/4–1/2 cup) per square yard by shaking the product evenly over the surface. Once the ice has melted, remove all slush and water to prevent refreezing. Repeat these steps as needed. Surface Care: Avoid excessive application. Misuse may cause damage to surfaces such as flaking, chipping, scaling or cracking. To reduce the potential for damage due to excessive use and freeze-thaw cycles, promptly remove slush and standing water from the area of application. Concrete Care: Do not use this product on precast concrete steps, precast masonry, poor-quality concrete, or brand new concrete less than one year old, as these surfaces are highly susceptible to damage. Note: As with any product that melts snow and ice, damage to concrete may occur due to the freeze-thaw cycles. To minimize surface damage, use only enough SPLASH Premium Ice Melt to loosen snow or ice, and then promptly remove slush and ice from concrete surfaces. Avoid excessive application to concrete which may be susceptible to damage due to age, quality, and air entrainment. Storage: Reseal the container tightly after each use. Store in a cool, dry area and avoid locations where leakage could cause property damage.
