Q: Are these bags store drop off recyclable? It used to state that on the box, but the new box I bought no longer has the recycle symbol for store drop off.

A: Not unless you want to have all kinds of chemicals leach into your food. Plastic bags are made from petroleum and it takes all kinds of chemicals to make them soft and pliable.

A: Hi flvegan - We're glad you asked! All of our food storage bags are tested by a 3rd party using the following leakage test criteria: Zip-lock leakage - Fill bag with water to 50% of bag capacity. Invert bag upside down and check for leakage. Our quality assurance team confirmed our bags have never failed this test to date, so they should be leak-resistant. Hope this helps! - Gao

I used to love target’s Ziploc bags, however, when they change the outer packaging, they also made a change to the bags themselves. They no longer seal properly and even though they’re less expensive, you aren’t saving money if they don’t do what they’re supposed to do. Basically useless for protecting food
