Gallon Freezer Storage Bags - up&up™

These are the worst storage bags I've ever purchased. Usually up&up items are great, but these are made with only 2 connecting strips on the closure. Good luck getting it to close.

Bags rip when opening the zipper for the first time. Low quality and unusable. They are not like they use to be.

Worst storage bags I’ve ever used by far. I always buy store brand (from other stores) but these don’t even compare.. they’re completely unusable. I can’t seal them at all - instead I’m rolling them and taping them shut with packing tape. They’re seriously that bad. I would have brought back for a refund but Target is really far away for us (rural area). Save the trouble and avoid at all costs!

These are very hard to seal and the seal is extremely weak. One wrong move and the bag is open.

Just as good as the name brand and for a fraction of the cost!

These are such a pain to seal!! You have to line them up just right so I do not trust them for the freezer.

These used to be great. Now they bust open even after the whole zip is carefully closed.

Does not stay sealed very well. I put frozen breastmilk bags inside, to store in bricks in my freezer. When I lift from the top of the bag, the seal comes undone.

I always try store brand, usually it’s fine. These are hard to zip and sometimes they don’t stay zipped!! Nope, I’ll splurge for the name brand for my sanity

Seal is terrible, have to go over it several times, and still doesn't seal properly...

Terrible bags. Don’t stay closed and pop open at the seams. Returned after a few too many messes.

Something changed. They don't seal easily or at all.

Never did I think I would be writing a review about freezer storage bags. But these are so awful. I felt compelled to write. I do not understand how these have a higher rating than 1 star. Maybe my box is a dud? Usually I buy the “popular brand” with the added zipper slide. Lately I’ve been getting freezer burn quickly. I was thinking it’s the extra slide, not fully closing, so I thought I would go back to the “old-fashioned zipper” and try the Up&Up brand (Which is usually a good staple brand and high-quality.) Freezer bags are usually a bit thicker than standard zip bags. These however, are every bit as thin as the cheapest product out there. Every single one of the bags used so far has been breached in some way. My (short) fingernail went through very easily while zipping one, another you could feel the air pour out at the edge after it was zipped fully, two had holes in it after being in freezer (not sure when holes were made). Don’t know if the actual food itself caused it to break through. They are just awful. Writing in hopes that the brand will read and check quality control because these are really bad quality.

Worst freezer bags ever made. I double and triple these but they still leak. JUNK. Absolute JUNK. Only salvageable for "temporary use" when freezing muffins for my kid to eat thoughout the week. I bake muffins on Sunday and freeze remainer for eating Wednesday-Friday.

It’s a plastic bag! Does not ziplock closed. Won’t be buying these again. Absolutely worthless.

I’m so pleased with Target products. These freezer bags are great!

Trash freezer bags, they are pretty thin to be freezer bags and if you need to seal them, you can forget it because you are going to activate your fine motor skills to try to get the zipper to stay close. It is horrible. Trying to pack up meat and do multiple freezer bags will have you in pain and half of the bags won’t stay sealed. I guess you get what you pay for. What a waste of my time, I will never buy these freezer bags again.
