Q: Just bought these but the design confuses me. There’s a semi-circle shaped, double-ply section of plastic inside the bottom of the bag that doesn’t open, so I don’t see how to make the bag stand up. What’s the purpose of that plastic? Can someone explain?

A: Put your hands in the bag and gently push the sides apart, the bottom seal come apart and push down the center piece so it can stand. Target AI doesnt have hands to tell you this.

A: The markings on the bag say PET OPP PE and has a #7 (other) recycling symbol. This means that the plastic is somewhat stiff (not filmy), translucent but not clear, and probably won't be recycled.

Q: Hi, I see that these are dishwasher safe for the top rack, but it seems they would be too large to fit on the top rack in a way that they would get clean?

A: You are right, Ioria74, they are much too large to fit on the top rack; it's a silly recommendation. You would need to set them up in a way that the water reaches every corner, which isn't possible on top. All you can hope for is that your next dishwasher is one without a heating element, so you can place the bags over a few tines on the bottom rack. I have one of those German wonder machines and they specifically mention in the manual that you can put all your (dishwasher-safe) plastic items wherever they fit. (Yes, I'm a very happy owner, for more than that reason.) For now, though, you'll need to clean them manually.

A: Hello - Great question! This product is dishwasher safe and the top rack is recommended to avoid meting if product touches heating element of the dishwasher.
Here is an explanation to WHY we have holes, attachment shows proper dishwasher care of the product..
1. Open the bag
2. Flip the bag upside down
3. Water collects in the bottom of the bag (which becomes the top when it’s upside down)
4. The holes in the corner of the bag allow that dishwasher water to drain out

I bought these twice thinking the first time was a bad batch. I love target products but these were such a disappointment. The first issue was the seam split while trying to fill it the second was the zip lock separated from one side of the bag while opening it. 2 different boxes.

Does not keep well in freezer stuff will freezer burn. Didn’t fit in dishwasher either. Annoying to wash as well they’re just sitting on my counter only used them once did not like it. Although the smaller ones are okay.

The package boasts "Stand + Fill" - this was extremely difficult to accomplish. Itt was a complete failure at keeping cookies fresh. Homemade cookies were hard to bite after only 1 day in this bag. Better for use in collecting non-food items. It appears there is an opening at the bottom of the bag which allows air in- right at the joint for the bottom (stand & fill feature). Huge disappointment.

Not worth it.
This item is flimsy. First of all, the display in the store is misleading. It is next to the silicone bags, and it doesn't advertise openly as a harder type of plastic than Ziploc. The sealing portion rips if you open it too hard after being in the freezer. And it barely fits a gallon of food. I would not trust this to stay sealed or to even properly seal any liquid. You're better off buying a classic Ziploc gallon bag and resuing those at infinitum than buying this product.
