Q: My bags won't open up at the bottom to stand them up. Is there a trick to it?

A: I was confused as well but found if you put your hand in them and sort of spread open the bottom sides it will kind of pop apart at the bottom. You can see the semi-circle at the bottom of the bag which is the part that expands to stand. Hope that makes sense.

A: The back of the box says they should be washed before use. It recommends hand washing, but they can also be put in the top rack of the dishwasher.

They're okay if you're okay with reusable bags that have a short lifespan. I've had these for 2 months and the zippers have separated from the bag on at least half and can't be repaired. They were easy to clean and close and I liked that they stand up. They are not as affordable as I thought if you would have to replace them every 2 months. I'm already looking for a different product.

These new ones are no good. The zippers tear off too easily. I had some that lasted 2 years and I got a new package and they haven’t lasted 2 months.

I liked these bags until after just a few uses the zipper ripped from inside the bag rendering 2 different size bags useless. The quality seemed great until this happened. Now I feel like I wasted my money and should have gone with a name brand like Stash. Disappointed.

These are junk. They were made a lot cheaper than the original ones I purchased 1-2 years ago. They look thinner too. The ziploc strip ripped away from one side so the bags are unusable.

We are trying to save the Earth one bag at a time. And these are very much cheaper alternative to the other bags. We do really like them. But it says dishwasher safe and they really don’t come clean in the dishwasher.

These have been great for storing food items, especially for prepping ingredients ahead of time. The bottom is a little hard to open but I’ve found that popping it out from the inside is the easiest way. I wish these were made in a quart size as well!

I opened these up and put some in the dishwasher and hand washed the others, but the bottom won't open to stand the bags up. I'm not sure if this is a lemon batch or if I'm just missing a trick to open it up, but I'm likely going to return these, which is a bummer.

I've been using these bags for years. Stocks, marinades, a single chicken thigh, sandwiches, you name it. They go in the freezer and on high in the dishwasher, they're fantastic. Seal tightly, I've never had a leak with liquids and was surprised to see the other review about tearing. They are slightly cloudy after continuous use but otherwise the same as when I bought them. In the dishwasher they will fly around if they aren't anchored in by being pinched in by a heavy bowl or something but once I figured that out it all worked out. I love a reusable item that is actually durable, because otherwise it's not actually a net reduction in plastic. This definitely is! I honestly haven't bought single-use plastic bags in years.

These are easily dishwashed and dried and work perfect for on-the-go snacks. However, I did have issues opening the bags and any of them ripped and tore and the seal, so I had to throw a few away after the first few uses. But, for the price, I can’t complain.

Bought this variety pack about a month ago. Used 2 of the stiff silicone gallon bags and both of the zipper seals came unglued from the bag itself. Now, I have to use a binder or chip clip to keep them closed until I can pick up some real silicone bags. Will try to use the softer silicone bags from a reputable brand. Very dissapointed.

I bought these to keep ice in from our nugget ice machine, but have found SO many uses for the other sizes as well! The big bags have taken quite a beating from being slammed on counters daily to break ice, and still work great without getting holes or being leaky. The bags are great for everything from food storage, to crafts, I love them!

These reusable bags are not great. Some hard to find the track to seal it. Already two had to be recycled themselves because the sealing track came unglued from the bags. I was hopeful for these to work, but now need to spend more money.

I bought these last May, so over a year ago. And my boyfriend and I have used them constantly. From chips to brownies to gooey cherry bars, they have been easy to clean and held up really really well. I know the material can be a bit of a turn off for people. It was even a turn off for my boyfriend when we got them. He didn't think they'd hold up at all, but we have yet to throw one away. They hold a lot and they're really convenient. And for the price, you cannot beat it. I highly recommend them. Plus, you feel good about not using as many plastic bags. Oh! And pro tip for cleaning them, I recommend spraying them out pretty thoroughly so you get everything out of the tiny crevices. They open them up completely and put them in your dishwasher. Doesn't matter which rack, but they actually get clean that way! So worth the $12 I spent on them! I highly recommend just trying them out for a bit!

These are nice bags but are hard to close if you have arthritis or do not have much strength in your hands do not buy them. I found buy the eco brand reusable bags.
