Ziploc Freezer Half Gallon Bags - 40ct

I have often had things to store that we're too big for the quart sized Ziploc but not large enough for the gallon size. My household finds this size very beneficial. And being freezer bags, they are thick enough for just about all of our storage needs. The only improvement I would like to see is a slider closure.

These are nice and thick, and have a substantial closure where you don’t have to question whether it is actually sealed or not. They also have a “stand up” feature when you start to fill the bag, making it easier to fold in food when placed on a table or countertop.

Unlike most ziplocks, this one has a very nice expandable bottom to allow you to keep items upright or at least give you a fighting chance! I also like the size, between the huge gallon bags and the smaller sandwich sized. Glad to have them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great Freeze bag. I like the expandable bottom so it can "stand" on its own. I also think it seals nicely and maintains the freshness of the items inside. I'm not sure what grip and seal technology means exactly...it seems like most zip lock bags. That's not to say it's poor quality because it's not. It's very good. I just don't see some exceptional difference from the other ziplock brand freezer bags. I also really hate the cardboard box it came in. The perforated tear away was awful and the box ripped up all over the place. Nothing that affects the product so it doesn't ultimately matter but it's annoying. Overall it's a great buy though.

The size is perfect—bigger than a quart, but not huge like a gallon. I’ve been using them for chopped fruit, leftover pasta, even for marinating chicken, and they hold up great. The seal is strong but easy to close, and I love that it actually clicks so I know it’s shut. Nothing leaks, nothing gets freezer burn, and they’re easy to open too. I’ve even reused a few for dry snacks. They’ve made storing food so much simpler for me. Definitely recommend for food storage bif your looking for something not to big but not too small to keep food fresh or protect against freezer burn.

Very strong and secure when filled. I put up beef stew in them for a quick freezer meal for later ! I also use them for leftovers . They are very useful and very well priced !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried Ziplock’s new Grip ‘n Seal half gallon freezer ziplock bags and I like them. I like that these bags have an expandable bottom and can stand up on their own. It really helps when you’re trying to fill them with food. My ‘other’ bags don’t do that, they just fall over flat or you have to put something in it first before the bags can stand up to finish filling. These Ziplock bags also have a little tab grip at the top you can hold onto so that you don’t have to touch food or the inside of the bag. Makes for sealing the bag super easy. However, the only problem with the expandable bottoms is that I like to store my bags in the freezer completely flat so that way it makes stacking easy and stuff doesn’t fall over, but with the expandable bottom it makes it so the bag is wider at the bottom and won’t freeze completely flat (if that makes sense). I like to buy meat in bulk and then freeze it in portions. These bags are designed so it’s got the flat bottom, and makes freezing kind of difficult if you want to store the bags flat on their sides. That’s just my personal preference. But if that’s something that doesn’t bother you, then these bags are great, especially if you’re filling liquids. None of the bags leaked and I didn’t have any issues with the product itself.

They are thick enough to go into the freezer without worrying about freezer burn and the zip is safe of leaks. These are wonderful.

I often find that the bags are too small or too large for what I’m freezing, so I’m very happy to see a half gallon sized bag. I like the pleated bottom, so the bag can stand up in its own for filling. I also like the new Grip ‘n Seal Technology, that adds additional grip to the bag’s opening, so even with wet hands there is grip to close and seal the bag. The seal seems to also have been improved, as it seals tightly and firmly. Overall, I really like the new size and technology that has been implemented into this new Ziploc bag. It’s a winner!

My favourite part about these particular bags is that they are free standing! Makes it so convenient when adding things like vegetables and soups to freeze. The best!
