I love that this bag has that extra lip for opening and closing. It comes in really handy when dealing with my young nephews. I also use these bags to take ice to the third floor (where my room is) and sometimes I forget I have it but the water is still in the bag which I appreciate because sometimes I can be forgetful, and it's nice to not have to pay by cleaning up a mess. I think if you take your time, use the lip to secure the bag you should have no issues.
Rule #1 don't lower the quality of the product! I used to love these but today they are not worth bringing home. The zip lock does not seal like it used to. Bags come open and leak. If you lower the quality you will lose your business.
I have purchased Ziploc sandwich bags for years and I like their product. They are durable and easy to open, however sometimes a challenge to close. I have never had any problems with leaking or bags tearing.
I opened a new box of ziplock 40 sandwich bags and it was not quite 1/2 full! I counted the bags and yes, there were 40 bags but I'm wondering why this company needs to more than double the size of the packaging necessary in order to sell their product. In a world where space in our kitchen drawers is a premium, I'm going to opt for a smaller box and not worry about the number of bags or the brand!
I have always bought Ziploc sandwich bags. Nothing bad to say about the product. Until now. I don't know what happened to the quality, but they are horrible. I would get 8-10 pieces of chicken, 3-4 lbs. of beef and grill all at once. After grilling I place 1 piece of chicken in 1 bag and freeze. Same with the hamburger. I have done this for years. Wonderfully taking out the grilled meat and all I have to do is a vegetable. To thaw, I will put the baggie with the food in water to thaw. I don't know what you have done but when I return thinking the meat is thawed, the bag is filled with water!!!!!!! Every time. It's like the seams are thin. I am no less, extremely upset! I will not be buying Ziploc again. The leaks ruin the product. Don't submerge any bag with contents in water!
I use baggies every day and have never had a problem with Ziploc before. This most recent box I purchased has, with every baggie I've pulled, had a slit cut parallel to the seal line. Baggies are no good if you can't deal your food. Very disappointed. Would like a replacement!
