Changed for the better!

We are particular about our sunblock, and I’ve been a fan for years of the Target brand.. they changed it, for the BETTER. It smells great now! I also have a kid who tans beautifully like the copper tone kid and one who is so pale she is almost translucent. This protects both of them, and me - an early 40’s mom, too!

This lotion was great for my sensitive skin. I normally breakout from certain types of sunblock, so end up spending a lot of money on name brands with less chemicals. I had forgot mine at home and ran to Target and bought this as it was the first I had seen. I was pleasantly surprised by the scent, the absorption, and the actual protection it provides.

Overbearing cologne type smell in this sunscreen. I bought this to use on my kids ages 3-10 and I will be returning because of the very strong smell.
Used to be my go-to. Now I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole

Up&Up sunscreen used to be perfect. It worked very well and it didn't contain any scents that were off-putting or triggered any reactions. But between 2024 and 2025 they re-branded with a new bottle shape that easily slips out of your hands when your hands have sunscreen on them (gone are the ridges that stopped this from happening), and there is now an atrociously perfumy smell that 1.) doesn't even smell good and 2.) causes my eyes to react. Why Target chose to change their branding from reliable every-day products to "aesthetically pleasing" but functionally unusable products, I have no idea. Target, if it ain't broke, don't "fix" it!
Burns my eyes

I have been using Up and Up sport sunscreen for years. It was the only sunscreen that didn't burn my eyes. Seems the formula changed along with the label/branding and it irritates my eyes horribly. Please change back to the original formula! Still works and I don't mind the scent, but oh god my eyes.
Don't buy.

I have used this product for a long time. Noticed that the bottle was different but there was no warning of a change of ingredients. The scent is horrible and I had an allergic reaction to it. I hope to get my money back as I can't even begin to use it. There should have been something on the label to warn people who are sensitive to fragrances.
No white cast on melanated skin

I like that this doesn’t leave a white cast on my melanated skin and doesn’t leave me feeling too greasy either. It does flake up sometimes though, and I’m not sure why. The smell is fine, it just smells like cologne. I wish it was fragrance free so I could put it on my face.

I would give this ZERO stars if I could!! I used the spray and also the cream version and got badly sun burnt!!!!! I reapplied every two hours and even after getting out of the water. I wish I read these reviews because after reading I’m coming to the conclusion that I might have a chemical burn!!!!! this is crazy, how is target going to sell this as their product!!!!! doesn’t work at all!! i’m contacting customer service
Hate the smell and stung my eyes

This was my go to sunscreen for face and body for many years. I won't be repurchasing it as the smell is overpowering (smells like men's body spray) and it stung my eyes. Please bring back the old formula.

I'll give it two stars because it 1) is absorbed by the skin quickly and easily. Not greasy at all. 2) I likes the smell? Maybe the other reviews got bad ones. Who knows. But does not work? Not in my experience. I reapplied as needed but still got burnt by the end of the day at the pool. Won't be buying this again..

Up and up used to have the perfect formula for affordable and fragrance free sunscreen perfect for everyone. Then they changed the formula to this disgusting, smelly, awful goop. Horrible experience and pills everywhere. I will never be buying again. Be warned that anyone with sensitive skin should not purchase
