The power supply worked ok, it was the fuzz pedal I bought with it that didn't work. Monoprice has agreed to refund my money.

it works
I give it a 4 star because of the plug itself . it should be a plug that is 90 degress to the outlet to take up less space. this plug if you use on a surge protector blocks 2 outlets making less room for other power cords

Good for Lower Powered Pedals
I bought this to power my Fender Reflecting Pool Reverb & Delay Pedal. Now, reverb and delay effects, especially the larger ones require more power. The Fender Reflecting Pool needs at least 250ma of power. This Stage Right power supply outputs 500ma, so it did power the pedal. However, there were popping noises when I would engage the reverb or delay. I tried different outlets and surge protectors, but still got this noise. This power supply works perfectly fine for my lower powered pedals though like my Boss SD-1 Overdrive and my Polytune 3 Tuner. I also bought a D'Addario Accessories PW-CT-9V Power Supply and there was none of that popping. The D'Addario is actually cheaper than this by a little bit, so I would actually recommend that one over this if you can get free shipping elsewhere. Monoprice usually has sales though, so you might be able to get it for less here. I just wouldn't use it for more power hungry pedals.

As described and as expected. Good Value.
As described and as expected. Musicians who prepare always have an extra one or two in the gig bag. These were priced right so I got two.

Using With New Looper
Purchased this power supply for my new looper because I don’t want to constantly be installing fresh alkaline (single use) or rechargeable 9 volt batteries. As mentioned in the item’s description, this 9 volt (500mA) power supply is meant for use with 3rd party guitar effects pedals with industry standard tip negative DC connectors. MP is typically the first place I go to find so many of my tech and electronics related purchases, this purchase was inevitable. I’ve been using the power supply for 3 weeks now with my looper and it works perfectly. Monoprice offers quality manufactured products at very competitive prices —> excellent value.

Cord is only 1.5m!
I just got this 9v DC adapter today. It does work, but the cord is only half the length that Monoprice states on their site. The site claims 3m; the actual cord is only 1.5m. Maybe not a bid deal, but I chose this over a similar unit from Amazon b/c this had a longer cord. So to find out it's only half of what I was expecting is disappointing. I haven't noticed the hum/buzz/noise that others have complained about.

Seems to work great.
So far this seems to work great. I has a good sized cable that leads to the plug. It doesn't feel flimsy.

Works but could be better
This takes up too much space on a power strip, unlike the one spot. It's very cheap, but also has very low output, probably only suitable for one guitar pedal. I hope that in the future Monoprice has a higher quality product for suiting the needs of those who have multiple pedals
