Not Cool, retains heat pretty well
I have a cool gel memory foam pillow & a memory foam pillow with holes in it & this did not make either pillow cooler. Having no pillow protector-just having 2 very smooth 400 count cotton cases on each pillow (2 cases per pillow) was much cooler than one of these protectors & a pillow case over it. I have an 'Outlast' brand cooling mattress cover & it is VERY cooling. So in comparison, these are so far down on the cool scale they don't even register :P

I ordered this with a matching mattress pad that is sold separately. It is a nice upgrade to my old bedding. The cooling materials has kept me dry and free of sweat during sleep.
