This shade has held up for four summers! The carrying case finally gave out, but we use a backpack now. Just don't forget sunscreen,you'll still burn under it.

Wouldn't recommend this. It's not sturdy and doesn't stay up at the beach. Can't speak on sun protection because it wouldn't stay up long enough to use it.
