A: The Main Street Safety Gate is not weather treated and is recommend to be used in doors.

A: Hi! No need to drill into the walls for use in the hallway. You can use the no-drill pressure mount system with included adhesive wall cups. If using for stairways, then you would need to drill/screw with the included hardware kit. Thanks!
A: Hi, great question and don't worry! The gate frame is angled intentionally so that when you install the gate, the frame is under pressure. Once you install the gate and tighten the tension bolts, everything will come into alignment. Please reach out to us if you need any help! https://www.summerinfant.com/consumer-relations/contact-us
A: The Main Street Extra Tall Safety Gate doorway opening is 20 inches wide.
A: The Main Street Extra Tall Safety Gate widest gap between the vertical bars is 2 5/8 inches.
A: Thank you for your question. We do not recommend installing the gate at an angle because the gate would not latch properly. If you have any additional questions, please give us a call at 401-671-6551 to speak with our team directly. We would be happy to help.
