Q: Do these have 2 or 3 prongs?

submitted by Jean - 6 years ago
  • A: 2 but they will cover 3

  • A: These plug protectors have 2 prongs.

  • A: these have two prongs.

    submitted bynasa0804 - 6 years ago

Q: Are these plugs made with soft plastic? Other brands made of hard plastic can break and leave a prong in the wall which requires a electrician for removal.

submitted by Sharon - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi there. Thank you for your question. These are made with a hard plastic, however, it’s a very low risk of breaking since these plug protectors are made to withstand common forces without breaking.

  • A: I asked the original 'hard plastic' question. Long ago I purchased some Safety 1st socket protectors and they were made from soft plastic which is advantageous in cold environments because the the prongs do not freeze/harden like other brands with hard plastic do. I have broken others, leaving the prong stuck in the wall which necessitated an electrician visit just to remove the broken prong. I use the protectors on the exterior wall outlets to block the inflow of cold air in frigid weather. The soft plastic prongs do not break off even in cold temps.

Q: Are these plugs white or frosted?

submitted by michelej - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello, the Plug Protectors are white in color.

Q: Can these be used to cover outdoor outlets?

submitted by Joe - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello! Thank you for your question. These have not been tested for outdoor use and we cannot advise how they would hold up to outdoor conditions.

Q: There are 36 plugs in the set? I should it 36 sets or 36 pieces? Thank you!

submitted by Abc - 6 years ago
  • A: Hello. This set has 36 pieces total

On top of everything you have to worry about while being a parent. Last thing you need to worry about is your little ones tiny fingers getting hurt. This product is the best! Came with plenty of covers for the apartment

Well, these work very well. So much that they’re adult proof too. My husband and I struggle to get these out of the outlets, so (you’d think) there’s no way that our one year olds will be able to.

Why are they so big?

These are too big to cover all of the outlets in my power strip, and the ones that do fit end up overlapping which doesn't look good either. Might as well just use scotch tape, these are a waste of money.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear of this. Per the instructions on the Safety 1st Plug Protectors, Discontinue use when your child becomes old enough to defeat it. Check for security after installation. Your child will eventually be able to defeat this product. To keep this product effective for as long as possible, avoid letting children see how you operate child safety devices. Watching you disengage a lock, latch or cover could enable them to learn sooner how to defeat it. If you would like additional assistance please reach out to the Consumer Care Team at 1-800-544-1108.

My baby is now 10 months old and pops these right off! I might try taping them down but ruins the point of them being easy for adults to take them off. Really disappointed!
