Covering the entire outlet, the cover keeps excess appliance cords off the floor, storing up to four feet of cords, depending on thickness. Easily remove and replace the outer cover with the child-resistant dual-press operation by simply pressing both side tabs simultaneously, while gently pulling the cover away. Along with appliances like lamps, televisions, and computers, the outlet cover works great with standard-size phone chargers, safely winding their cables out of sight. This kit includes one replacement wall plate and cover. A flat-head screwdriver is needed for installation. Remove the cover to clean, wiping it with a damp cloth and allowing it to dry. Q: What color is the plastic? White or almond color?

A: The picture looks white so I was surprised when I received it and its ivory. The back plate is white but the cover is very ivory/beige. Disaapointed because it looks bad on my white walls.

A: Thank you for your question! Per the instructions for this model, it states the cord slots on cover MUST face down, so this should only be installed vertically.

Good for babyproofing
We use these for outlets that we keep things always plugged into, like the baby monitor above the crib. They take a few minutes to set up and are kind of bulky but I like them. They seem secure enough for my wild baby.

Only works on standard outlets with thin cord
Most of the cords in my nursery are box plug, not the small two prong outlets. This allows a box plug to be plugged into the top outlet but of course then it covers the bottom outlet. Also, a thicker cord (like the one on my child-safe electric heater) doesn't fit in the slot to come out from the case.

Not for Decora style outlets.
Works great if you have old style outlets but doesn't work with Decora or GFCI style. An update would be nice.

Needs to be bigger
I am on the fence about this, it works great for generic two prong plugs. It is to small to sit flat on the outlet and will not allow the box plug on our baby monitor or router to plug in without the top attached. It is also to small for the three pronged basic tv plug. I wish it was flatter and the top was wider.

Good but damages cords
They work well but the big problem is that 1. They’re so hard to pinch and take off which is good for a toddler but not for a parent 2 it damages the cord to anything plugged in. It ruined my phone charger and space heater cord! It also doesn’t fit my windo ac plug in. I wouldn’t recommend because it’s dangerous that it cuts through your wires. I was careful and there’s no way avoiding it

They do exactly what the description says but wasn't of any use to us as the cord we're trying to cover is for a surge protector so it sticks out too far from the wall and the cord is too thick. Might be good if there's just one normal, small cable plug to be covered - it can't handle two cords.

not compatible with all outlets
our outlets have two screws, one on top and bottom of the plate. this only attaches with one middle screw. so we can't use it and will be returning it.

Easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The concept is great for toddlers who may have figured out how to get your plug covers out, but it's honestly a pain to have to open. If it's an outlet you don't plan on having to use often or in a child's room, it's perfect.
