Safety 1st Outsmart Toilet Lock

Good lock to keep my little one out. The lock keeps my 18 month old and 4 year old out of the toilet, I'm trying everything I can to keep the toilet safe from little hands so they don't drown. I'll buy more and install these on all the toilets in my house until they are teenagers. It even has a decoy button so little kids think they will open it. It's not that hard for adults to use and operate.

The glue stopped working after a week, this is like throwing money down the toilet, I do not recommend it at all.

Not worth the price. I made sure to carefully read the directions and follow them, and it fell off after 2 days. The sad part is, once it’s off, it’s not reusable. So it was a waste of $10

Would buy again. My very curious and smart toddler has yet to figure this out. I will say that the piece that attaches to the toilet bowl came undone, but I hadn’t cleaned the area first, so that was probably user error. Nothing that a new piece of 3M foam square tape — and a cleaning rag doused in rubbing alcohol — couldn’t resolve. Would give 5 stars if product provided an additional square of 3M tape and if bowl piece was slightly less rounded. I found that the corners were making best contact.

Works great as long as you actually wipe the toilet with rubbing alcohol first! The button does get discolored, but it's better than a drowned baby so I don't mind. We're buying more to use on our fridge because we like these so much. You do have to teach guests how to use it though 😅

Don’t bother, my 17month old unlocked it on his first try

This product isn't well made. The product never stayed on the toilet. It fell off the side of the toilet within the first use.

It works well to lock the toilet but it started looking discolored right after instillation. It is now peeling as well, less than 3 months later. Unsightly.

Nice idea. But doesn’t stay adhered to the toilet.

Do not buy this! This product did not last a week. It does not adhere well to the toilet. My son is 1 and figured it out in a matter of minutes. Now I am left with a stupid thing stuck with a useless device.

Adhesive isn’t strong enough. Both came off after a week or two.

I loved it! Kept my little monster out the toilet

We've had these on one of our toilets for well over a year now! I just cleaned the surface with 91% alcohol on a paper towel, twice. My son (2.5) has not learned how to open ot, and I have to open it for all guests,because they get outsmarted by the decoy button! My dad even said "it's adult proof, too!". I'm thinking about getting another one for our upstairs bath, since my son is still obsessed with opening the toilet, and sometimes putting his hands in the water.

Followed the instructions for cleaning the toilet surfaces. Application was super easy and quick. Been using for 6+ months with a curious toddler. Works great! Highly recommend.

The part that connects to the toilet bowl doesn't stick even when applied properly. I contacted customer service they said they would send me another one and instead sent me plug protectors which I don't need. Makes no sense how do you get plug protectors from a toilet lock.

Really wanted this to work! Only had it on for 2 weeks and it’s already coming off the adhesive does not stick very well.

Doesn't stick, it just fell off

The adhesive on these stinks. The glue dries out very quickly. I’ve had one that worked for a month before falling off. But I just opened a brand new one and it won’t stick at all.
