Poor packaging, spotty quality control
I purchase Sunmaid Raisins on a regular basis. The raisins are fresh when opening however, the packaging is worthless for keeping them that way. I have to put the entire carton into a gallon freezer bag which helps but is not optimal. Sometimes the cartons are free of stems, sometimes there are way too many. It can be problematic if you are using them as an ingredient because you have to pick thru the raisins. I purchase them at Target because of the price point.

Good Fresh Raisins, but watch the shrinkflation
The raisins were good and fresh. The container was only a little over half full. The raisins stopped at the Yellow Sun-Maid text line on container. Super annoying and misleading. Not Targets fault but the manufacturers.

Finally a good lid now
Oh good they fixed the top. Lol. The last time I bought this 6 months ago I had to dump into a ziplock bag cuz the top was flimsy but now it's secure. Yayyyyy.

The raisins are great, the container holding them is not so much! The lid didn’t even stay on the container once I opened it. If you buy them, you better plan on putting them in some other kind of sealable container once you open them or they will dry out in a couple of days.

I make my own snack mix of unsalted almonds, raisins, both chocolate and peanut butter chips and dried sweetened pineapple chinks. I have tried generic brand raisins, but right out of the box they are never as plump or fresh tasting as SunMaid brand Raisins. These are worth their price and they aren't th much more.

I buy these all the time for my kids. This latest batch, almost every single raisin either has the full stem still attached or a piece of stem still attached. Never had this problem before. I suggest SunMaid check on their de-stemming machine because it’s not working great.
