I was told at the time of buying colour night vision which is not the case. On the box it also shows night vision in colour. The camera flashes red light every time a car or person passes about 10 metres away from my house. Neighbours not happy. Very embrassing. I have not any camera's red light flashing. On my road many houses have security cameras. Have not seen red light flashing. I phoned Swan to ask how I can switch red light flashing. I was asked for camera serial number. Camera is installed high on the wall. I cannot get on the ladder to get the number. I have all information on my phone when I go to swan security device information. It does not show camera number which is very upsetting

Hello Bunny, We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand your concerns regarding the red deterrent light. By default, the cameras are set to activate the lights when it gets dark, but these settings can be adjusted to better suit your needs. The deterrent lights turn on only when motion is detected, and you can control how long they stay on using the Swann Security app. If you’d prefer to disable the lights entirely, you can do so through your recorder by navigating to: Menu > Alarm > Deterrent Settings. Can't see all playback on mobile app

The mobile app won't let me see all playback . I need to be able to see my house while im out of town or what is the real pointof having cameras up if i cant see every second of what recored... it only let's me see motion or sound detected with as much as the camera system is worth why can't I see everything the dvr has to offer im very disappointed in this purchase

I bought this a long time ago but with other work being done it got put back. Finally put the system up and it’s running, initially put 3 cameras up and they run perfect, then put the 4th camera up and although it’s running great and doing its job it won’t run at night if I use the same settings as the other cameras. I had to find out a way for it to work at night. But it’s a great product and I’m happy.

It was easy to set up. Installation was a bit more time consuming than I expected. Result is great. The quality of the cameras is exceptional, but the best part is being able to view the camera feeds from anywhere on my iphone.

Very good camera system works with existing BNC cables from my old swan system. The cameras are nice very good quality at night for the price. The DVR is not too loud at all vll Very small as well very easy to hide. I'm not a big fan of the police lights feature that it does come with "but that's a personal problem for me" but besides that can't complain for the price.

Purchased in 2021 but were not installed until 2022 and already the hard drive is not working! Poor quality, would not recommend! Would expect to last longer due to their price!

We definitely felt more comfortable knowing we could check in on our home while away. Although we never had to use the audio or sirens I think they are a great bonus to an already great security system!

The directions are very easy to follow and it took a few hours to set the unit up in our home. Everything was very straightforward and easy to follow along with. The camera quality is great. I also like that you can add additional cameras to this unit. It’s nice to have the extra peace of mind to protect your family and your home. We run the security system cameras on one of our TVs in our home that way we have access to it all day. I also enjoy having the app on my phone that way when we are not at the house we can still see what’s going on.

I did have to get an extension for one of the wires that wasn't quite long enough for my house. Still not sure how I feel about the flashing lights (whether it's better to record someone in the act or just scare them off). For now I will keep that setting active.
