Swanson Msm Powder - Ready-Mix & Unflavored 1 lb Powder

We use it once a day in our beverages for maintenance. It seems to keep our joints supple - although as seniors, overall there is still some stiffness in up-down motions.

It appears to be what I've needed. Thank you Swanson for another great and affordable product.

I use this and our dogs also get it. Helps their joints better than glucosamine . All our dogs ,past and present, respond positively to MSM. Takes a few days to a week to notice the improvement. Only side effects are it makes hair and nails grow quicker. Great everyday maintenance for some relief before stronger prescription drugs are needed.

On the advice of many knowledgeable animal rescue folks, namely Janice Wolf from Rocky Ridge Refuge, I give a pinch of this powder to my 30 lb rescue mixed breeds every morning. If you have a larger dog you give more. My girls are piggies, and they do not mind the taste. I will say, I put drops of fish oil from gel caps on the powder and their food and that smell alone makes them crazy for whatever is in that bowl. This is the best price and most clean product and I highly recommend buying it for your dogs OR self. Note, it's great it give this to your dogs from puppyhood. If your dog has super serious joint issues, you will want to do more glucosamine. MSM is for healthy dogs (although this is not going to hurt your dog, it may just not help enough). I forget the science behind it, - it's just that some older dogs will need more joint lube. This helps a dog naturally produce more of their own...but some dogs need more than this boost. This is the best way I can describe it. Anyhow, if you are interested go a little research.

The powder is very bitter; it takes a lot of sweetener to make it palatable. When I've finished the jar I'll go back to capsule form.

It dissolves completely in water or tea. I use it as a preventative, since people over 70 frequently develop joint problems. So far so good...

I take it with some Vitamin C and have been dong this for many years.

Good price and helps to relieve my joint pain! MSM is more effective than anything else I've tried. Be warned: the powder is bitter tasting, so it's best taken in a beverage that will mask the taste a bit. Hold your nose and chug it down like I do.
