SWISSGEAR Zurich Softside Medium Checked Suitcase - Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the design of this suitcase. It is one big compartmet (though has many zipper compartments in the lid for smaller things). You can fit so much into it! It is a medium suitcase so it's manageable yet I feel like I can fill it as if it were a large size. Swissgear also has these amazing straps which secure everything nicely inside, smoothly. It's a great feature for a great suitcase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This medium sized checked bag checks all of my boxes! The 4 wheels make it easy to mauver, and they are smooth!! Easy to push along even when completely full. There are extra pockets on the outside of the bag which come in handy. I appreciate that it comes with the TSA approved locking mechanism, just for peace of mind. Overall a great checked bag, a good staple for any traveler.

I’ve found that a normal carryon bag works well if I don’t bring a suit, but if I need a suit I have to check a bag. This bag is the perfect size to pack my suits and everything else I need for a 3-4 night trip without bent too clunky or big. Definitely recommend!

I can’t wait for us to use it on our next trip to California .

I don't like that you can't clean them easily. One advantage this suitcase has are all the different compartments in the front. It's easier to stay organized. The wheels roll very well. The wheels run smoothly even when fully packed. I do like that it is soft sided, exactly what I was searching for. Not too bulky, easy for me to lift. I will tend to use this for my three or four day trips.

We have several from this brand that have stood the test of time for over 10 years. Just needed a new option in a medium size, this is a checked bag size and holds a good amount. It comes with a lock as part of the suitcase as well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this suitcase for a recent trip and was impressed with how easy it was to maneuver the spinner wheels glide smoothly, even when fully packed. The softside material feels durable, and I liked the extra front pockets for quick-access items. It has plenty of space inside, and the expandable feature is super helpful for longer trips. The built-in TSA lock is a nice added security touch. It’s not the lightest suitcase out there, but overall it feels sturdy and reliable for frequent travel. Great value for the price!

It features a lightweight but sturdy frame with 8 spinner wheels, padded handles or you can use the push-button telescopic handle, expandable interior & TSA-approved combination lock controls. The size is perfect for us personally since my husband does a lot of travel conferences throughout the year & we also will be using it for our kids to keep their things in. Overall, this is a great design & quality for the value! Highly recommend!

Resetting the code is super easy and TSA approved. I love that there is an option other than black to make it easy to identify when checked. Lots of storage options on the front that makes organizing easy. Love the suitcase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This will be my fourth piece of luggage that I have purchased by Swiss Gear. This particular suitcase will hold for me about five days worth of travel clothing. It is super lightweight. The wheels spin a full 360° for all all four wheels. One of the greatest features that I like about this product line and why I’ve continued to purchase the Swiss Gear luggage, is the locking mechanism that locks the zipper into the side of the suitcase with a code. it also comes with a 10 year warranty.

I will never buy SwissGear products again. The luggage was disappointing, and the company was even worse. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I don’t want anyone else to deal with what I went through. I used this suitcase for one trip with no connections, and when I arrived, the so-called “unrippable fabric” had already torn. A metal plate that runs along the side—where the handle attaches—punched straight through the material. I began the warranty process while still on vacation. It was long, tedious, and full of hoops to jump through. After hearing nothing for over a month, I reached back out and was told the warranty was approved because it was clearly a manufacturing issue. All I had to do was mail in the product labels via certified mail. Another month passed with no update. When I chatted with customer service, they said I’d hear back the same day… and I did—only to be told the warranty was now denied, despite already being approved. I called, and they claimed it was “normal wear and tear.” From a single, one-leg trip. So no, don’t believe the claims about “unrippable fabric.” Don’t trust the “warranty.” And don’t rely on their approval emails, because apparently they don’t mean anything. The entire process is long, frustrating, and feels designed to make customers give up. Avoid SwissGear. I wish someone had warned me.

The only downside, in my opinion, is that the telescoping handle is a tad too short. I have a small carry-on suitcase (fits under the seat) that fits on top of a checked-size suitcase. The telescoping handle on the suitcase barely leaves room for my hand when I stack the carry-on. Ouch!

I bought this suitcase to match my carry-on tote bag by SwissGear (I received a backpack from them as an onboarding gift during an internship and have been liked their products ever since). It has great space, solid wheels to roll on through the airport or your hotel once you arrive, and convenient compartments to help with ease of storage when you're packing. I'm sure there may be better suitcases out there, but I like this one! It has everything I need and looks good doing it!

I purached this bag last month and the zipper is already damaged. I have not even used the zipper but you can see the pictures for quality
