I used to love this ice cream but I'm so sad to see that the chocolate chips changed!! The big ones are not separated enough and so they're overpowering when you do have one. The shaved chocolate chips were SOOO yummy. I probably won't get them anymore now...

This has been a favorite of mine for several years. But I just bought 4 jars and YOU"VE CHANGED IT. The best part and what gave it the wonderful flavor was when the chocolate chips were micro and literally melted in your mouth. Now your using huge chocolate chunks which has ompletely changed the flavor and texture. Please go back to your original recipe with the micro chocolate chips.

This used to be unmatched in flavor. But as every company eventually does. They kill what made their product stand out…probably for another penny of profit. The chocolate chips have both changed from flecks or flakes to chunks, AND reduced in quantity. There is little reason to pay the premium price for Talenti products, if you aren’t going to receive premium product. They’ve done the same thing to the Raspberry chocolate chip…previously my wife’s favorite flavor. We now have reverted to Baskin Robbins, who still use the sliver/flakes. What’s sad, is if you would just raise the price for the extra penny of profit, I would gladly pay it. Your product has never been a low price discounted get your sugar fix product anyway. Why be so assinine as to ruin the product…just charge what you need to charge to retain that almighty extra penny!

Please, please, please bring back the flaky chocolate chips in this ice cream!! The last couple I purchased were texturally too large and made it so there was CRUNCH with my ice cream. The flaky ones melt with the ice cream and are so good!! I know other people feel the same. I had to go and find older ones at my local grocery store so I could have the amazing taste again. Unfortunately, if the new recipe stays, I will probably have to find a new ice cream elsewhere :/

Coffee chocolate chip used to be my favorite gelato but not anymore. The chocolate has been changed and it isn't a good change. This used to have shaved chocolate but now has big chunks. I will no longer be purchasing. Talenti also needs to look into how to make better easier to open packaging. I am just so disappointed. This was one of my favorite things to treat myself with and now I have two containers in my freezer and I don't even want to eat them.

The coffee chip and raspberry chip were always my favorite. Unfortunately since you changed the chocolate from shaved to larger chips I will no longer be buying it. The shaved chocolate is what made it exceptional. Now it is just like any other ice cream.

This coffee chocolate chip gelato used to be amazing, once you figured out how to open it (hold sideways and run warm water on the top), but in the past week the chips have completely changed, from finely chopped chocolate spread throughout the gelato, to huge crunchy chunks. This completely ruins the smoothness of the gelato, although it still tastes pretty good if you pick out the chips. So disappointed. :-(

Just tried gelato for first time. Chose Coffee Chocolate Chip. AMAZING!!! What a delight! Although I was surprised that egg yolks was included in ingredients, after reading that eggs weren't usually used in gelato. It is a wonderful coffee flavor!

this is my favorite ice cream on the market right now, but only if it’s a pint that has the slivers/shavings of chocolate as opposed to the larger, waxier chocolate chips you find in your typical chocolate chip ice cream. I feel the quality and abundance of the chocolate, along with the strong coffee flavor, warrant the price only if you find the right pint. I had to go to three different stores before I found a ‘normal’ looking one but it was admittedly well worth the hunt, to me it’s the ultimate indulgence and I’m in heaven eating it.

If I only wanted coffee gelato, I would have bought plain coffee. I’ll now have to find a different product. Very disappointing to see a great product ruined.

I love all Talenti brand Gelato. The texture is smooth and taste is great. The chocolate chip has enough chips evenly distributed unlike some other brands, adding a nice crunch without overwhelming.

Like most of the recent reviews, I am completely disappointed with the changes made to the recipe, especially due to the changes to the chocolate chips. It is quite obviously an attempt at production saving costs. They changed the chocolate chips in the Mediterranean mint gelato a bit ago (which was disappointing), but the decided to throw those same crappy flat chocolate slices in this one, too. I hate to see my favorite ice cream/gelato sacrifice quality (especially while charging me the same amount -_-). Go back to previous recipe, and you’ll have loyal customers for life.
