I love all Talenti brand Gelato. The texture is smooth and taste is great. The chocolate chip has enough chips evenly distributed unlike some other brands, adding a nice crunch without overwhelming.

BRING OLD RECIPE BACK!Used to love when the chips were smaller and spread in tiny pieces throughout the gelato now it’s in huge chunks and a lot harder to eat! Used to be my favorite because of that. Now can’t chew chunks :(

Like most of the recent reviews, I am completely disappointed with the changes made to the recipe, especially due to the changes to the chocolate chips. It is quite obviously an attempt at production saving costs. They changed the chocolate chips in the Mediterranean mint gelato a bit ago (which was disappointing), but the decided to throw those same crappy flat chocolate slices in this one, too. I hate to see my favorite ice cream/gelato sacrifice quality (especially while charging me the same amount -_-). Go back to previous recipe, and you’ll have loyal customers for life.

I love the coffee chocolate chip and would give it five stars but I’ve noticed that the chocolate chips have changed! They used to be ground up fine and not so noticeable but now they are like small chunks and just don’t care for it as much.

I love Talenti Gelato and the Coffee Chocolate Chip is one of my favorites! However, the pint that I ate tonight had the flat chocolate chunk pieces in it, and I could've sworn that all the other ones I have eaten had little tiny chocolate chip pieces. I liked them because you still had a great chocolate taste but they took an unobstructed back seat to the coffee gelato. I don't know if this is a recent change, a mistake, or I've just gone crazy, but I feel that the chocolate chunks get in the way of the great gelato. Give me the tiny chocolate chip bits and I'll be happy to give this 5 stars.

The coffee chip WAS our favorite gelato / ice cream by a mile. My girlfriend and I are serious amateur athletes and even though most of our diet is super-healthy this was our splurge and we would split three to four pints a week. (We would literally have some at 5:30AM before our training rides on our bikes and would regularly make special trips to the store just to get it). With our last two pints we thought that maybe there was a screw up at the factory. The chocolate had gone from rich thin slivers throughout the pint to occasional waxy chips like you might find in Breyer's or some third-tier brand. Seriously Talenti, the previous recipe was so fantastic I find it amazing that someone there said, "Meh, this new recipe is fine... what will the consumers do, stop buying it?" The answer to that is yes, we are going to stop buying it. Unless of course we find that you have gone back to the original recipe.

This was my favorite flavor, but the most recent jar I bought is completely different. The coffee flavor used to be deep and rich, with small slivers of chocolate chips throughout. Now, the coffee flavor is much more muted, and the chocolate chip chunks are much larger, and a bit waxy tasting. They might be using the exact same chocolate, but when they were tiny slivers dispersed throughout, they added a small chocolatey richness to every bite vs. a mouthful of “meh” big chocolate chunks in one out of three bites. This used to be so worth the price and hassle trying to get the lid off. Now, it definitely is not worth the price per ounce, and extreme hassle. There are other coffee ice creams that are good at a much better price. I’m highly disappointed that they’ve changed the flavor. I wish I could say that I will still be buying it, but I will be finding a new “treat” for myself. It was fun while it lasted.

This is such a delicious little treat, for my me time!!! They are so different from your typical ice cream. They come in the best flavors too. Nothing more relaxing than one of these and a bubble bath! They are a little pricey when your on a budget so I definitely buy them up when I find them on sale and hide them from my family.
If only they made their Mediterranean Mint this way...

For all those coffee lovers out there this is for you! A fantastic combination of coffee and gelato with the added sweetness of chocolate chips. The only con is the price is a bit steep but for this quality of gelato I find it to be worth it. I like to let it thaw for a bit to get it to my desired texture, smooth and soft. I enjoy the simple yet satisfying packaging. Easy to find the flavor you want unlike other brands that fill the package with a bunch of fuss. If you haven’t tried Talenti I would definitely suggest you give it a try.
