With carboard applicators not being easy to find, could purchasing through Tampax be an option. The plastic applicators are terrible for our environment. It is a shame I have to buy plastic due to accessibility issue.

I don’t use the applicator - I just take the tampon out and the use it - I feel like the applicator doesn’t always let the tampon go, and brings it out. The tampon it self is comfortable, I don’t have any remarks

Overall the tampon itself is great! However the cardboard applicator I feel it was difficult to use, once pushed up the tampon struggled to come out of the cardboard.

I always have some of these on hand and have most recently purchased a value pack of them. My work also supplies this kind too. I like the cardboard applicator as it seems more environmentally friendly. I switch between these and supers.

The applicator sucks! However once I got the tampon in it didn’t fit because it was loose and therefore was leaking the absorbency is fine but these are not comfortable.

I would not recommend this tampon to my enemy. This is the hardest tampon to insert. The tip is loose, the application is soft and trash, it crushes as you try to use it. Then the whole thing dismantles as you try pushing it out. Worst experience, almost ruined my river party.

These tampax are super comfortable and fit really well. Unlike other brands these cause no discomfort at all as the applicator makes them easy to insert. Not the cheapest on the market but a mid price point worth paying for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to receive these as who doesn’t want free tampons but I was super disappointed with the product. I’m glad I didn’t spend my own money on them because they are made of cardboard which makes them very uncomfortable and honestly painful to insert. I do not recommend.

I have always used tampax tampons with the plastic applicator. Store was out so instead of switching brands I thought I would give these cardboard ones a try. The cardboard collapses when trying to push the inner tube. I end up having to try again with a new one. I’m wasting more than I am using! Never will I ever waste my money on these again.

We appreciate you being a loyal user of Tampax, Dianita, and we’re disappointed to hear this happened. All of our products go through strict quality checks, so we expect them to work as intended. This is not the experience we’d expect, and we’d love to learn more about your recent purchase and help you return to the version that worked better for you. I have been a cardboard user of Tampax ever since I was a teenager. While I have tried other bands and products, when I cannot find the cardboard, I have had several allergic reactions to the plastic applicators (cellulitis). Recently I have found it very difficult to find the cardboard applicators. I hope they do not go away. I do not use any other brand or product. While my meager purchases may not account for a significant number of sales, I think essential product manufacturers need to consider why there still exists demand for these products. Look at the reviews, there are thousands of people who take the time to note how effectives these are. There are so many people with allergies to various components of materials packaging that discontinuing products that work for some people. I would urge this company to at least sell this product through online retailers if stores no longer wish to stock them. They are a necessary product for so many as evidenced by the reviews on this site.

I have been using Tampax cardboard tampons for 33 years. Now all of the sudden they're not on the shelves in any stores! I refuse to use plastic applicators because they are not biodegradable and I refuse to litter the Earth with plastic tampon applicators! If the cardboard has been discontinued I guess I am forced to find a different brand to use after 33 yrs.

I have been using Tampax Tampons with the cardboard applicator for 25 years. I cannot find them anywhere unless I want to pay double or triple the normal price online. I hage tried the Pearl Plastic applicator Tampons multiple times. I hate the shape, they always leak, and I end up in pain by the end of the period. I think I may be allergic to something that is different about those compared to the cardboard applicator Tampons. I am going to have to find a new tampon brand if the cardboard applicators don't become more available.

Thank you for taking the time to share this with us! Safety is our top priority, and all our products are thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. We recommend discontinuing the use of the Tampax Pearls if they cause you pain. Tampax Pearl Tampons are designed to provide leak-free protection for up to 8 hours with a braid that helps stop leaks by channeling them back into the core, protecting you in a way no other tampon can. We are sorry to hear that was not the case with your pack of Tampax Pearls. We’re sorry you are having trouble finding Tampax Cardboard Applicator tampons. Like many other brands during this time, we are unfortunately facing unexpected disruptions in our supply chain due to a variety of reasons. We always want you to have access to the products you need, so we are working hard to ensure we can continue to serve Tampax users like you. We can assure you that this is a temporary situation driven by increased demand, and we are doing everything we can to quickly make these products available at your favorite places to shop. With your safety being the heart of what we do, we'd like to learn more about your experience with the Tampax Pearls for our Safety Team to investigate. When you have a moment, we invite you to call us at (800) 523-0014, 9 am-6 pm EST, Monday-Friday.

Similar to other reviews, I have used this for the better part of 20 years and LOVE them. The multi-pack gives the perfect amount of each absorbency. They are easy to use and are effective. I have tried your other styles with plastic applicators and would always get an infection. Plus, yes these are better for biodegradable purposes! Where can we find??? Please don’t discontinue or will have to find another non-Tampax product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried these before many times and I actually really enjoy them! They are functional, comfortable and it makes me feel better that I’m using less plastic, especially for such an intimate product. I love the variety pack because I can choose the size and absorbency that works best for my needs depending on my flow that day. I have a lot of friends that say they can’t use the cardboard applicators for comfort reasons but I have never had any issues. I did take away one star because these are not organic, which I do prefer. But they are a good tampon and will get used regardless.
