Compact and reliable timer option
Great timer, easy to use. Can count up or down with alarm. Fits in pocket, easy to read. I recommend it.

Piece. Of. Crap.
Reasons not to buy: 1. Buttons are stuttery. Pushing it once sometimes has the effect of pushing it twice. 2. So quiet someone with very mild hearing loss or tintinitis can't hear it from 2 feet away. 3. Battery compartment door is so soft that using something metal tears it apart - and not in a useful way. I'd expect this quality from a $3.99 timer, not an $11 one.

Two problems...
It has two faults that bother me.
It has an alarm so high pitched, I can barely hear it.
The start/stop button does not a debounce circuit, so one push can easily be On-Off-On-OFF-ON-OFF.

Garbage product
I can’t believe target would sell such garbage. It feels like something that would be to cheap to give away. The minute button on mine seems to be broken. I can’t believe they sell this for $10!

Excellent mini-timer that's portable
Excellent timer. Use it for many things (practicing timed multiplication tests at home, cooking, for games that require a timer, for exercises- timing wall squats.) It's small, very portable, so I take it traveling too for cooking. Our kids love it. I eventually bought them their own timers because they use it all the time. Works well. It's loud enough to hear it, but not so loud that it disturbs the household with its ring. Has a magnet on it, so I keep mine on the refrigerator. The kids keep their timer in their top desk drawer with their pencils and calculator. I like the fact it is portable. Very handy. We've dropped it a bunch of times yet it keeps working.

Taylor (mute) digital timer
Same complaint as many of the others (wish I would have read them first): You have to have it within 3 feet of your ears to be able to hear it go off; not good if you're in the other room. Since some people think it's fine, I'll blame Very Poor Quality Control then.

Does not shut off by itself
Warning: the timer does not shut off by itself and does not have a "turn off" button. You must remove the battery to shut it off. This is why it says "Remove batteries if product will not be used for a long period of time" on the packaging.. Wow. What a waste of battery and money. I wish I can return this product.

The Best So Far
Not great, but definitely better than the other electronic kitchen timers that we have tried. Contrary to what others have said, this timer does have a fairly easy to set countdown timer that rings loud enough to be heard in the same or adjacent rooms (different floors probably not). Also, the countdown timer alarm DOES turn off automatically after about 45 seconds of ringing. The magnet on the timer is sufficiently strong to keep it from falling off or sliding down the fridge. The only real negative is the battery is starting to fade after 6 months of infrequent use.

I'm satisfied!
I like that's it is small and has a magnet to place on fridge and out of my way on my counters. The off/on button is very convenient for a quick push. Unlike the other reviews, I was able to hear the beat very clear.

Took some time to figure out the mechanics. Once you know how to program this item, it does everything you expect.
