Q: Can it be stored on its side. My weight watchers scale did.

Q: Does this have an auto shut off? I have the older model and ran through batteries because it would turn on when putting it away and now it’s on the Fritz.

Q: Will the display stay on for a few seconds after removing the item? Weighing small packages but they will cover display during use.

Q: I need to divide a vitamin capsule (powder inside the gelatin capsule) into 3 portions. Can this scale handle that small of an amount of food product?
A: Hello! For something this small, we recommend a precision scale (Note - Target does sell a compact digital scale on their site to measure smaller weights). The scale you asked about will measure as low as 0.1oz / 0.001kg / 1g. The Taylor Digital 11lb Glass Top Food Scale has a maximum weight capacity of 11 pounds (increments 0.1oz) and also converts to 5 kilograms (0.001kg increments) and 5000 grams (1g increments). Q: How much clearance is there between the scale and the countertop? (I bought another low-profile scale and found that water easily got into the battery compartment.)
