TECHEF 5.5" One Egg Frying Pan

A full year of daily eggs later and the release is very nearly what it was out of the box, which I have never managed with a nonstick pan before. I keep the burner on low or medium and only touch it with wood or silicone, and it has clearly repaid that. One serving fits it exactly, and the handle does not get uncomfortable even when I am standing over it for a while.

Tiny kitchen, tiny burner, and this fits both without crowding anything out. Results have been excellent since the first use.

Hard to overstate how much I like this pan. Liked the first one enough to order another. My pricey nonstick set actually scratches my glasstop range — this one doesn't touch it. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

You can feel where it was made. Heat spreads evenly, the body feels dense, and the release is effortless.

Solid pan, buy it.

Ordered this for myself. My wife used it once and quietly moved it to her side of the cabinet, so I had to buy a second one. Neither of us has anything to complain about: hot in under a minute, eggs never grip the surface, and it slots into our overstuffed kitchen without a fight. Two eggs, two pans, every morning now.

I own two of these in bigger sizes and they're the first thing I grab when I start cooking. The little one is spot on for a single egg or reheating a small bit of leftovers. They're medium-weight, which I prefer to the flimsy ones, they wash easily and the finish stays put. Nonstick doesn't last forever, I know that, but I'll happily buy this brand again when the time comes.

Sturdy thing, and the temperature is the same corner to corner. Fair warning though, it's smaller than the photos suggest.

Turned up exactly as described with a nice coating on it. No idea how long that'll hold, but it's good so far.

What a help this little single-serving pan has been. I received the TeChef 5.5-inch free in exchange for a review, and it happens to fit my life exactly — a few months ago I changed how I eat, so no more potatoes, pasta or bread, while the guys in my house carry on as normal. On nights when their dinner isn't something I can eat, I'm cooking one portion for myself. I'll confess I loved it first for being purple and matching my kitchen, then loved it more once I cooked in it. It means I can make my own small meal without a big pan to wrangle and wash afterward — and my large pan is usually busy with the food I'm not eating anyway. For such a little pan the handle is really comfortable. The nonstick is remarkable; a hamburger that looks welded to the surface slides straight out. Cleaning is hot water and a soapy washcloth, a moment's work, no scrubbing at all. Not one problem with it so far.

Build quality is there, the design isn't. The handle is heavy enough to unbalance the whole thing, and if you heat it empty it doesn't behave — it really needs food in it to sit level.

Grabbed it on impulse during a late night scroll. Now it is the first thing on the burner every morning. Eggs come out whole and rinsing it takes about ten seconds.

Picking it up you would assume it was cheap. Then it heats in a minute and holds steady through the whole cook. Light and durable at the same time, somehow.

Whites spread out evenly and lift without tearing, which makes me look far more competent at the stove than I actually am.

Nothing wrong with how TeChef builds things — the color and quality are lovely. I still sent this one back, though, because it was far smaller in person than I'd pictured, and the handle is heavy relative to the pan, so it tips easily. My other two from this company remain favorites.

Nowhere did I see that this isn't dishwasher safe. The metal collar between the handle and the pan has gone black and rubs off on your hands like coal, and realistically the same thing happens if you simply leave it soaking. Fussiest egg pan I've owned. Look elsewhere.

Got this for my mom since it's light and easy for her to lift. Performs just like the full-size versions. Lovely thing.

Under twenty dollars and it does better work than a pan I paid double for. The coating feels tough and food simply does not stick to it.

Expectations were low when I ordered. The coating feels genuinely premium and the handle sits comfortably in my hand.

Breakfast for one used to mean dragging out a ten inch skillet. Not anymore. The egg slides off on its own and a paper towel handles the cleanup.
