    Tossing food is fun now

    Angled sides turn flipping vegetables into something I actually enjoy. Food stays in the pan instead of on the burner.

    I love this Pan- very strong and cute

    First Techef pan I've bought, and the handle is longer than most and the pan much deeper than others, which makes it more comfortable to hold. It's going to make things a lot easier, plus it's very cute. I love this pan.

    Great non-stick Pan, Even Heating!

    Actually got the TECHEF tamagoyaki pan first, and it became the nicest nonstick in my collection. That told me that once my old 8 and 14 inch pans started to fail I should go for these, since I couldn't find their equal in any local store. Both this and the tamagoyaki pan cook evenly and the coating seems durable. It also has a higher edge than my old one, which will be great for scrambling eggs. Now I can't wait to replace the larger pan with one of these, since that will probably have higher sides too.

    Love my little techef

    Right size for omelets and for quickly heating leftovers for one. Even at this smaller size the sides are high enough to hold quite a bit; I've even heated soup in it. The nonstick, which is a must for me, is great. Design-wise the stainless handle gives it a sleek look, and it's very cute.

    would not buy again

    Bad smell when it heats up, even after several washes, and I miss having a silicone handle. It isn't a heavy pan either. I wouldn't buy it again.

    ANOTHER OUTSTANDING TECHEF ITEM

    Last year I bought my wife the TECHEF wok, and I thought I'd try this pan from the Onyx collection. She loves it. It's smaller than the wok for smaller dishes, and I love the metallic handle and the weight and feel of it.

    As good as the most expensive non-stick pans I've owned!

    Everything about this pan is right. The size suits a grilled cheese or a personal omelette perfectly. Nothing, and I mean nothing, sticks to it, though you do have to use it correctly, so please read the instructions before your first use, and remember it's strongly recommended not to run it at the highest heat settings. I've been cooking with it for several days, always preheating at a 6 setting, particularly for omelettes, then dropping to 5 or 4 depending on what I'm making. Again, nothing sticks. Cleaning is a breeze too. Get one and you'll be glad you did.

    Oven-to-stovetop a breeze

    Beginning a dish on the stove and finishing it in the oven is my favorite thing here. It shrugs off 450 degrees and the coating shows no change.

    Induction works perfectly

    At last, a pan that heats evenly on my induction top without hot rings. Scrambled eggs no longer brown underneath. The size suits small meals well.

    I wanted it to work

    Unfortunately it didn't work with my Duxtop induction cooker, or at least not well. I had to keep readjusting its position on the cooktop to stop the unit shutting off, so it seems there simply isn't enough magnetically inductive mass in the 8 inch TECHEF pan to work consistently. I may try the next size up. The nonstick surface did seem very good, and I managed to fry some eggs, though it was difficult given the problem above. My other concern with this line is how lightweight the pan is, with fairly thin metal, which can cause uneven heating compared with a thicker base.

    Great value for a sturdy non-stick pan!

    Shopped for a cookware set for months before settling on the TeChef Onyx collection. The 8 inch is sturdy with a thick base and even arrives well packaged. Cooking and cleanup have both been a breeze. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap like many pans at the same price. Really pleased with the quality, and I think it will last a long time with proper care.

    I love my new frying pan!

    Plenty of 8 inch frying pans have passed through my kitchen over the years and I'm quite happy with this one. The design is a little different, with more vertical, higher sides, which is a nice feature because it's easier to stir things without spilling over the edge. All my old covers fit nicely. One more thing: the box contained a use and care guide that was easy to read and understand.

    Light enough to maneuver
