It's a nice pan, but not necessarily the best choice for ind

Owned this pan for three months, bought for an inductive stove to replace an Oneida we'd had for three years. We use only wooden or silicone utensils and always hand wash. The initial nonstick surface was very impressive and has degraded a little since, though it's still excellent. The good: our pan bottom is flat, so oil stays roughly where you put it, and you only need oil for flavor anyway, since the nonstick works very well; it cleans very easily; and it cooks reasonably evenly. What I wish were better: the pan is a little shallow and the rim doesn't come up far enough for our frying pan covers the way the Oneida did; to work on induction it has a magnetic plate on the bottom, which needs much more power than our other pans because it's a less efficient way of making a pan induction ready; and because of that plate it's tricky to keep the pan centered on the magnetic burner, so you have to watch that it's really on the burner at all times.

I'd highly recommend this pan

Love this pan. It's super solid, and while the handle feels a little light it does the job and has never made me question its integrity. The nonstick is amazing too. I'm careful with it and don't use it all that often, but after six months of light use the nonstick is still perfect. I mainly cook eggs and sausage in it and it handles a pound of sausage and sixteen eggs. Update: six years on and it has lost most of its nonstick, but it had a fantastic run and I'm definitely buying another. Even though it isn't as slick as it was, I've never seen a fleck come off it, which surprises me.

Apparently I've been using the wrong brand for years. This distributes heat beautifully. Very happy with it, and it has a nice heft with a very solid base.

Love it!

Finest frying pan I've ever had. The nonstick surface is truly nonstick, smooth and so easy to clean. I've used inexpensive nonstick pans from the big box stores for years and I'm only sorry I waited so long to upgrade. It cooks like a dream and looks good too. Unless I'm using cast iron for something special, this is now my pan for almost everything.

Good 12" frying pan

Like this pan. I can cook eggs with very little oil and grill fish with none at all and still keep the skin intact. It's a little heavy, though I take that as a sign it's strongly made, and the size is good since it fits the 12 inch lid I already had. I hope it lasts, and I have high hopes for it.

A lifetime purchase.

Solid piece of gear. I ordered it after seeing one at a friend's house that was five years old with no wobble in the handle and no warping, despite repeated misuse by kids. Then there's the lifetime warranty. All in all a sweet deal and a lifetime purchase.

Quality - Design - AWESOME

Purchased this for home use, replacing a Cuisinart whose base had started to round out. The first thing you notice is how good it looks, and then, inspecting it, the quality comes through, from the nonstick surface to the heat spreading base, which looks like it'll distribute heat evenly. Time to cook and test: it heated well and spread the heat across the pan, apparently evenly, judging by how evenly the food looked. Cleaning was great, no fuss, easy to wash, nothing stuck, no hard rubbing. I'll be replacing my other 8 and 10 inch pans with this brand soon.

Techef has great products.

Started buying Techef about three years ago and I have faith in these pans. The only reason I ordered this one is that I damaged the coating on a previous 12 inch, entirely my own fault, and that pan was over two and a half years old. Read the instructions, as I did. I damaged mine by leaving it on a flat range close to high heat while preheating and getting distracted. Medium high for long periods will break down the nonstick surface. Cook on medium, spread a little oil evenly for a longer life, and most importantly don't walk away from the pan. Please don't use metal utensils on these whatever the manufacturer says. I love Techef; I have an assortment and they all do well, two years plus and still going strong.

Been a week and very pleased

Great quality and it's completely flat, so it's perfect for glass stovetops. I cook eggs every day and it's very nonstick so far. Given the reviews of some competitors, I'm pleased we made this purchase.

Perfect frying and cleanup.

Used it several times now. The pan is flat and the oil covers the base evenly. It does a great job on omelets and browned bacon to perfection. Tonight we fried breaded flounder fillets in canola oil and the results were perfect. Cleanup, following the manufacturer's instructions, is painless and flawless. A great product.

Great Pan!

Replacing all of my pots and pans at the moment, and this one caught my eye because it's dishwasher safe, though you should still hand wash, and oven safe to 350 degrees. It's solid but not too heavy to lift, it cooks evenly, and it's simply a really nice pan. If you cook a lot, I highly recommend it.
