About the Author

Jennie Ashmore studied painting and printmaking at Exeter College of Art. For many years, she taught art in schools and worked in environmental education, conservation, and gardening. Her work has always concerned the natural world, and she has always had a strong interest in surface texture and pattern. Patterns and geometry are key to her work. She teaches workshops and sells her work. She is based in Galloway, Scotland.
