Q: Do you have to squeeze it in order for it to work? Can they just sip on their own?

submitted by Tani - 6 months ago
  • A: You do not need to squeeze it to drink out of it. However they need to have a strong sucking reflex if you do not squeeze it.

    submitted byMomof4 - 3 months ago
  • A: My little one drinks it in his own.

submitted byBelltols - 4 months ago
  • A: Yes, you will need to squeeze and then the children can sip, any other questions you can call 800-704-8697.

Work well, but a lot of liquid comes out at once

These are okay for my little one. The straw is pretty wide so I feel he gets too big of drinks at one time, so it isn't the greatest. What I do enjoy though is that the milk doesn't spill out like it does in my other straw cups with lids for the straw part like the oxo ones. So I do use these for milk!

    My favorite straw cup!

It’s amazing the things we can do in this day and age and making a perfect straw cup is not one of them. I refused to believe that to be true and have tried out SO many straw cups — they all have flaws, some of which are frankly heinous. This cup is definitely my favorite though. I appreciate how easy it is to clean, and clean throughly enough that I feel confident mold isn’t growing somewhere I can’t see. It’s not completely leak proof but enough so that the mess is manageable. The size is great for hands that are little and learning. I appreciate the ability to squeeze it — we started with a different cup and the little one just didn’t know why he should suck. One squeeze of this cup and he got it. I like that the straw is clear so I can see when liquids are actually being consumed. I also like that it doesn’t have some ridiculous valve system - they’re hard to clean and I own too many straw cups that I, a grown adult, can barely get liquid through. My only flaw honestly is that there isn’t a cover for travel, which makes it hard to take on the go. If it did it would be *nearly* perfect.

    !

These taught my daughter how to drink from straws! We started when she was around 6 months old; I gave her these here & there. I love that we can squeeze it up to their mouth to help them learn to suck. I think that was the determining factor that helped my girl learn. She is now 8 months old and can drink from any straw on her own! Just wish they had more colors to choose from.

    Love it!

Love It! These might be my new favorite cups, 9 month old can hold and sip out of them with ease! They are not hard plastic so if they get tossed around they are not super noisy or going to wack someone in the head! They are soft and squeeze a little but not enough to make water squirt out! Have tried a lot of cups and these are my favorite with a 3 year old and 9 month old. No weighted straw but the base of the cup is narrow so it works fine. Also soft straw so no soft pallet injuries

Great first straw cup for my baby!

Works great with my 10 months old! Tried a couple other types of cups, none of them work. This one is great with the squeeze feature to begin with! And No leaks.

    Perfect for training

Easy to use, durable, minimal leakage. My 8 month old was struggling to learn how to use a straw. I was aware of the honey bear cup but with the heavy price for one cup one, I was hesitant, plus they are silicone all over and silicone tends to hold taste and leave the water not tasting great. Came across these and 10/10. My little was using them and holding them herself by day 3.

    Great first straw cups

First of all, let me say that these cups have withstood my very chewy toddlers bites without breaking, unlike all of his other cups and straws! This is a perfect transition cup. It's squeezable and easy to use and easy to clean. To rinse out the straw, simply squeeze the sides together and rinse with water.

I love the anti-leak design! It’s the perfect size for their little hands to pick up. Seeing my 10mo old twins pick it up and drink from it on their own in just one day was such a proud moment.

Great cup but randomly turns into geyser

These are pretty good about 2/3 of the time. They’re easy to clean and my baby can get almost all the milk out of them. Good for learning to use a straw cup. They also hold the milk well when dropped, thrown, or shaken. But for some reason if you leave milk in them and they sit out for like 20 minutes, the milk will somehow get sucked up in the straw and then overflow and make a mess. So that’s pretty awful, but they’re still better than any of the other straw cups we’ve tried.

    Must purchase!

These are the best choice when it comes to transitioning your little one from bottle to straw cup! My son was 6.5 months old when I introduced this cup to him and it took him about a week and a half before he was drinking through the straw on his own. Reasonable price, neutral colors and very easy to disassemble and clean. I’d recommend these as a first choice as I’ve tried a couple others prior.

    good start

these were good as a first cup for my baby. we started at around 6 months old. she quickly caught on so we didn't use them long, but they were a good start. I like that you can support their drinking skills by squeezing the water up the straw

These were the first cups that we got for our 8 month old and we love how easy they are to use and clean. Our daughter is able to squeeze the water up into the straw and suck the water out from there. Perfect for practicing using a straw.

    Baby and Parent Approved

These cups were a pleasant surprise with how well they functioned and how much my 1 year old likes them. We didnt really need to teach him how to sip from a straw, we just needed him to find a cup that he finally liked. These are so lightweight that they dont make a huge bang when theyre thrown or dropped on the floor. Small and easy to hold for tiny hands. Havent had any issues with leaking. we love them!
