Book Synopsis
My name is Summer Mollison and I am 9 years old. I live in the Southern Highlands in NSW Australia. I wrote this book as I was getting sick of my friends always wanting to be on their screens instead of playing games. I know they prefer to play outside with other kids but they have got stuck on their devices. It is time to remind them that it is a lot more fun to play with your friends in real-life than online through a screen.
My book is about a young girl who goes searching for a friend to play with. After riding her bike around with no success she heads home feeling very lonely. Then something wonderful happens which changes everything.
I hope you enjoy my book and don't forget to spot the cheeky wombat.
Review Quotes
"I think every parent and primary student needs to read this book. It is a great reminder to all of us what really is important. We are all guilty of spending too much time on devices and not enough time just playing, talking, spending time with each other. Amazing that a 9 year old can see the effect the internet is has having on her friendship groups and has written this book about it. Worth a read and hopefully will encourage kids to get outside and play together." Justine Pratten aka proud mother of Summer Mollison
