Like everyone else, I was anxious for the video release of this movie, and purchased it as soon as it became available on blu-ray. I was woefully disappointed. Disney usually does a much better job of re-enacting classics than they did with this version of "The Jungle Book". This, the fourth iteration, is definitely NOT as good as the earlier 1994 live action version of the film. This version is poorly acted; has a shallow story line; and didn't hold my attention for long. In fact, I was quite anxious for the movie to finally end. This film's only upside is its CGI effects, which were spectacular and well-deserving of the Disney label. Otherwise, there was nothing about the film that was worth its $23 price tag. If you insist on seeing it, spend $1 to rent it at Redbox.
