About the Author
Richard Ho is a children's book author who was once, himself, a child. He is a former journalist and educational scriptwriter who enjoys writing stories about science, culture, and the magic of everyday life. Red Rover is his first book for young readers.
Jessica Lanan has long been enchanted by the mysteries of the cosmos. Exoplanets are too far away for her to visit, but illustrating them is the next best thing. Follow this package from its start as a care package to its final delivery--after being lost. It’s a book about surprise friendships, a love letter to a parent, and a tribute to the USPS. The illustrations are stunning!

This book, like it's titular cardboard traveler, is filled with hope. Part friendship story, part behind-the-scenes of an irreplaceable American institution, and part love letter to that institution (the USPS, even though it isn't explicitly mentioned by name or logo.) Ho's carefully-chosen words move the story along and allow Lanan's paintings to shine light on it -- together they bring this story to life. Recommended for anyone who has waited all day for the postman to bring something special.
