About the Author

Clement Clarke Moore, (1779-1863), was a professor at New York City's General Theological Seminary (built on land donated by his father) who, in an 1836 reprint of A Visit From St. Nicholas (more commonly known today as Twas the Night Before Christmas), was first credited as the author of the poem, and later included it in an anthology of his work.

Lindsay Dale-Scott studied graphic design and illustration at Columbus College of Art and Design. She earned an award for her advertising campaign for the sloth sanctuary of Costa Rica and gained national recognition with the American Advertising Awards. I bought this adorable book to read to my 5 grandchildren (14 mos - 4 1/2 yrs) before Christmas. They loved it. We were all in our Christmas pj's. It's a memory I will have for as long as I live. The blinking lights on the last page were a great surprise!

Hardly a Light Up Book

1 out of 5 stars
Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

I purchased this to read to my 6 month old, thinking that he would love seeing lights on the pages. However, the only lights in the whole book are on the very last page and there are only a few tiny little yellow lights... nothing special at all. The illustrations are cute, but I feel like calling it a “light up book” is inaccurate.
