Book Synopsis
When a bomb blast nearly kills Sonny B. Feelright, the recent MBA graduate and his new business partners believe it was an unfortunate coincidence. But when he spots a mysterious black sedan stalking him and faces two more near-death encounters, his life becomes a terrifying game of cat and mouse. Who is behind the assassination plot? Evil hedge fund manager Nancy "Black Widow" Black, seeking revenge? Gangster Danny Byrne, sending a message from the mob? Or a determined terrorist cell with mysterious motives? Sonny must find the answer before it's too late. Meanwhile, Sonny must contend with a competitor for partner Charlotte McCardle's affections. When handsome FBI agent Adonis Manos arrives to investigate the attempts on his life, Sonny suddenly finds his love life as unsettled and frustrating as his fight for survival. His quest to win Charlotte's heart appears insurmountable when Sonny discovers that her father may be the hub of a massive insider stock trading ring. THE PREMATURE DEMISE OF SONNY B. FEELRIGHT picks up where the first Feelright novel (THE UNLIKELY CAREER OF SONNY B. FEELRIGHT) left off, with Sonny, Charlotte and Simon trying to get their startup forensic accounting firm off the ground. Little did they know that forensic accounting could be so dangerous. THE PREMATURE DEMISE OF SONNY B. FEELRIGHT is Dwight David Morgan's second Sonny Feelright novel about Chicago's favorite and least likely hero. Both books draw on Morgan's successful career as a writer, lawyer, corporate executive and entrepreneur. With a degree in Journalism from Kent State University, Morgan spent his early career as a freelancer and communications consultant. After earning a law degree from the University of Akron, he became a senior executive of a major corporation, where his duties included investor relations and M&A. In 1998 he founded a successful plastics manufacturing company, which he sold in 2008. He lives with his wife and two children in Medina, Ohio.Dimensions (Overall): 8.0 Inches (H) x 5.0 Inches (W) x .85 Inches (D)
