About the Author

Craig Caudill is the owner of Nature Reliance School in Kentucky, where he teaches children wilderness safety and survival skills. He is passionate about reading nature's signposts and is the author of Extreme Wilderness Survival: Essential Knowledge to Survive Any Outdoor Situation Short-Term or Long-Term, With or Without Gear and Alone or With Others, alongside cohosting the Nature Reliance Media podcast.

Carrie Shryock is an artist, illustrator, and appreciator of nature. She grew up on a farm in central Missouri where she spent her childhood picking bouquets of wildflowers and exploring the wide-open prairie under a big cloud-filled sky.
