About the Book
For anyone who longs to care for others in tangible, life-changing ways, this book is a guide to embracing opportunity, extending kindness, and encountering God's love in order to create small ripples that grow into big waves of change.Book Synopsis
We've all got a lot of questions these days: In a world marked by division, how do we create bridges of meaningful connection? When despair runs rampant, is real hope possible? When competition is elevated, is compassion still relevant? And at the end of the day, can one person really make any impact at all? When the world's problems loom large and your ordinary life stretches you thin, it is still possible to be a difference-maker--one small, intentional, extravagant act of kindness at a time.
Rather than telling you to do more, The Simple Difference shows you how to see more: more of the people in front of you, more of God's lavish love for you, more of his power within you. The Simple Difference will help you
- stop getting buried in busyness and distraction and discover countless opportunities for impact right where you are
- remove your perceived limitations and learn to see that your "not-enough" is exactly what the world needs
- discard expectations of what it takes to make a difference and delight in the life-changing power of simple kindness
The Simple Difference isn't about totally changing the course of your life; it's about letting God change you and work through you in the midst of your ordinary days. To say, As I go on my way, Lord, have your way with me. Be a part of The Simple Difference movement--your life and the world will never be the same.

Just getting started reading this book but it couldn't have come at a better time. Imagine the world today if we all had a little more kindness. I often think of kindness as more beneficial to the recipient. But it is also important for the giver of the act of kindness! Each chapter in the book closes with a prayer, a few ways to live it out, and a summerizing statement about kindness. Very easy book to read! Highly recommend!
Elevate your sense of purpose through small acts of kindness

Sometimes we think that we have to do something on a grand scale or have a certain gift or talent or amount of money to make a difference in the world. Becky reminds us that small acts of kindness can be the simple difference that have the potential to make a big impact. There are so many pearls of wisdom in this book that remind us "while we cannot fix a whole hard situation, we can be purposeful in using what we have, where we are, to do what we can." I highly recommend this book if you want to elevate your sense of purpose through small acts of kindness.

This book is amazing!!! I have highlighted so many lines in my book, because there are just so many good stories, examples, and insightful quotes that I didn't want to forget them. Becky Keife's book is like a breath of fresh air for a world weary soul. No matter where we are in life, and no matter how beaten down life has made us feel, we can still be a part of the Simple Difference movement and show kindness. Highly recommend!!

Amazing Simple Kindness

Kindness is a buzz word these days from both religious and secular courts, but I have mostly experienced writing on kindness from a secular, worldly, humanitarian viewpoint. This book provides a refreshing difference - it is written from a Biblical perspective, providing biblical advice, examples and applications all pointing to Jesus. The end of each chapter provides three keys to living based on the chapter’s content: Pray it Bold includes a prayer, Live it Now are applications of the content and Say it Loud is a key takeaway. I really appreciate this book and the many applicable lessons on living kindly!
How easy we forget what kindness can mean.

This is a great reminder of how for many of us kindness is not always our inclination. When we do choose it, it can literally change the world. Keife shows a vulnerable look into her own life, the lives of others, and God's word to remind us that kindness is a ministry where small actions can make a big difference.

What can I say about the Simple Difference that hasn't already been said? The Simple Difference was unexpected, inspiring, and provided both valuable insight and simple application. I thoroughly enjoyed the personal stories and experiences, but also not just how we're encouraged to show up and be kind, but the why we should be kind and how we should be kind. Jesus was our living, breathing, walking, shining example of love, life, living, and kindness. From the Good Samaratin Parable, to how Jesus led, I now have practical applications and examples. The truth is being kind doesn't have to cost you a thing, it's more about loving and compassion, empathy. I am encouraged to silence my mindless chatter and listen to God's leadings and promptings more when he encourages me to do something that is out of my comfort zone, because the reward is always going to be how you made the person feel, seen, loved, heard, and valued. The Simple Difference is a must read and much needed for such a time as this.

Becky has given us a gem of a book. Kindness is so needed at this time, maybe now more than ever. I love the stories she tells, the way we're reminded that showing up, encouraging & being for others is maybe not as complicated as we have made it to be. She is a great writer & I believe in this message & how it really can impact those around us for the better.
Kindness Matters

I loved The Simple Difference. I think what we all need right now is more kindness, making Becky Keife's book very timely. God gave the idea of this book to Becky long before a pandemic hit and the timing of the release could not be more relevant. ...our small, sometimes barely perceptible acts of love, kindness, and encouragement can not only put a little ripple in the currents of hate and blame, division and dysfunction they are enough to actually change the tide. The Simple Difference is told in a first-person conversational tone. It feels like we are sitting down with Becky, talking over a cup of coffee, and being real with one another. Becky does not approach this book as one who has it all together, but as one who has made plenty of mistakes, and learned from them. We are all born to be difference makers. Becky shares many stories, not just her own, of how kindness has made a difference in the lives of others. She talks about why kindness matters and how sometimes it can be awkward, or even hard. In a lot of ways, it is an act of trust to step out with whatever we have to offer kindness to someone. I especially love the story of Beth Moore included in the story. I had heard it before but the impact is like hearing it the first time. At the end of each chapter, Becky inspires the reader with three keys to living The Simple Difference, which includes a prayer, living it now, and saying it loud. This is a book that you will not want to miss. In a world that is divided over all.the.things. we need people to be The Simple Difference. Are you willing? I am, I am in, all the way in. Thank you to Revell and the author for the opportunity to read this book. I was not required to leave a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Simple Difference is exactly what we need right now. This book is an easy, quick read to fill you with hope at the simple difference you can make in the world around you through kindness. Becky Keife shared stories and Scripture to show how others have made an impact for the kingdom through their kindness. She doesn’t shy away from hitting you hard with a good look at why we don’t choose kindness in every situation. Two areas that I found particularly convicting were avoiding awkward social interactions or reacting with irritation when feeling stressed (especially at home with loved ones). Yet this book is so uplifting and helps show ways we can make a difference. Each of the twelve chapters ends with three keys for living the simple difference. I hope that many people get their hands on this book and make a positive impact on their communities! Note: I was gifted an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

The Simple Difference by Becky Keife is a book our world desperately needs. As we go about our day, do we respond with kindness when annoyed or go out of our way to love our neighbor just for the sake of being kind? As someone who loves to love on people, I’m always eager to read and learn more about kindness. The Simple Difference lays out tangible ways that we can truly love our neighbor as well as helps readers to move past common hindrances which prevent acts of kindness. Becky also delves into various facets of kindness and how they play into different seasons and stages of life. She provides incredible insight into how simple acts of kindness can create, what she calls, “a ripple effect to grow into big waves of change.” In a world where kindness isn’t always our first choice in how we respond to those around us, I encourage you to create waves of kindness. A good start is to read, The Simple Difference!
