Simon Furman is a British comic book writer who is best known for his work on Hasbro's Transformers franchise, starting with writing Marvel Comics's initial comic book to promote the toyline worldwide, as well as foundations for both Dreamwave Production's and IDW Publishing's takes on the Generation 1 minifranchise. Steve Parkhouse is a writer, artist and letterer who has worked for many British comics, especially 2000 AD and Doctor Who Magazine. James Hill is a British comic writer who wrote several Marvel UK stories before Simon Furman became the sole writer. How he got the job was that Sheila Cranna couldn't find Furman in the office one day and so asked Hill's friend Richard Starkings if he knew anybody who could write some text stories for the Annuals. As both men had worked at Harrier Comics, Starkings recommended Hill. His most notable stories are the first Christmas story and the hugely influential "State Games" story, which established the Decepticons' origins in gladiatorial combat and Megatron as a famous warrior--this idea has since become the default Megatron origin, in large part due to being an influence on Eric Holmes' The Transformers: Megatron Origin (not to mention Dreamwave) which caused Hasbro to latch on. He almost wrote an origin story about how the Transformers had evolved, but editor Ian Rimmer was more interested in Earth-based stories. He began his career in 1983 working for Marvel Comics UK on the title The Daredevils. His first published work for DC Comics was in 1987 in the New Teen Titans (Volume 2) title. Later on he worked in various titles including The Flash (Volume 2), Secret Origins (Volume 2), Tales of the Teen Titans (Volume 1), and many more. Ian Rimmer is a British comic book creator associated with Marvel Comics. Previously, he'd been working at IPC with Sheila Cranna and later Simon Furman, and moved over following the demise of horror comic Scream!. Cranna was his 'in' with Marvel and he'd end up being Furman's 'in' himself. Before Transformers, he wrote strips for that other big 80s Marvel UK comic about warring robot toys, Spider-Man and Zoids. He has also written for Thomas the Tank Engine, Captain Planet, Doctor Who, and Roy of the Rovers, and penciled and inked for the Hulk. John Ridgway is an English comic book artist. He is best known as the first artist of the comic book series Hellblazer, featuring John Constantine. Jeff Anderson is a freelance illustrator based in the North East of England with over thirty years of experience working in publishing, comics and graphic novels, advertising and greeting cards. Mark Farmer is a British comic book artist. He began his career in 1984 for Marvel Comics on the UK division in the title The Mighty World of Marvel. His first published work for DC Comics was in 1984 on the title Green Lantern. Later on he worked on titles such as Showcase, Superman, Batman, and many more. He usually works with fellow countryman and artist Alan Davis.Dimensions (Overall): 10.19 Inches (H) x 6.63 Inches (W)
