This book was one of the best I’ve read and I’m a voracious reader! I’m not usually a fan of graphic novels, but that was the perfect format for this book. It broke my heart that Christina was called rice girl. We can do better than that. I was so excited to give this book to my daughter’s 6th grade class. She is the teacher. This book will be so good for discussions on how we treat others. I love that students will see themselves on the pages. I think this book would be great for adult book clubs too. A quick read that will leave you asking questions about your junior high behavior.
