Yoav Blum doesn't just toss an idea into the air and let it hang there. He doesn't simply tell his readers, "Imagine a world where people can swap bodies with one another." And yes, the further you get into the book, the more you understand how a single technological development can ripple out to affect every conceivable aspect of the world.

This book could have easily fallen into the genre's obvious traps. Yet, time and again, just when you think you know where the plot is heading, you suddenly realize you're on a rollercoaster you won't be getting off anytime soon. You certainly can't guess when the next loop is coming, even if, at times, the plot seems to be tying itself in knots.
