Gretchen talks real life struggles, fighting to see Jesus in all of it, and what being rooted in Jesus is. So refreshing and practical. Just what my thirsty soul needed at this particular time.

This book is easily relatable and so encouraging. There are multiple 'nuggets' on each page that I'm underlining and highlighting that I can refer back to as reminders.....too many to share which is why you need to read it. 'You can never be empty when you're full of Jesus' Gretchen Saffles Striving, learning to be well-watered because without the water, there's no growth for the plant. I need water daily! A must read to help us along our journey with Christ!

Gretchen speaks with honesty and candor. Her story is one that is relatable to all women who seek to follow Jesus and serves as a reminder that "We can never know the joy of flourishing without experiencing the despair of languishing." This book is for every women who feels dried up, thirsty, and worn out. Gretchen uses the truth of God's Word to draw our minds and hearts back to the only One who can satisfy and quench our thirst. It is a must read!

“He invited her to bring her nothing and receive His everything.” This was a well-written and refreshing read full of biblical truth. It came at a time where I personally felt drained and lacked any desire to open my bible. This book was a beautiful reminder that Jesus is the only water that can truly satisfy our souls and all other wells that we run to can’t quench our thirst. Gretchen uses personal stories of what it has looked like for her to seek Jesus in her own life to help encourage the reader to seek Jesus in their own. She reminds us to be rooted in the word daily and not just once a week. I recommend this book for every woman regardless of where they are in their walk with Christ.
A great book for any woman in any season!!

I loved, LOVE this book! It will be one I will refer to over and over for encouragement to stay in God’s word. This book reminds me to keep my eyes on Jesus, who gives living water from the well of his word. Gretchen is so authentic and relatable in the struggles of being a woman flourishing in God’s Word in every season of life. I love how she relates spiritual growth to garden growth. It’s a beautiful wonder of God in us. This will be my number one go to gift to the women in my life.

I’ve followed the author’s ministry for years and have been repeatedly blessed by her content and the resources she provides. I expected this, her debut book, to be full of the Gospel encouragement I’ve come to associate with her, and wow, it did not disappoint! Gretchen has a contagious heart for Christ that shines brightly in this book. It’s a fluid, accessible read, and she does an excellent job using her own life stories as entry points into broader spiritual concepts. The book is brilliantly structured into three sections: The Well, The Word, The Way. Part One (The Well) covers the “how” and “where” do we often search for life? Like plants need water, our souls need nourishment, but where do we find lasting nourishment? Part Two (The Word) answers this question with the exhortation to throw down our roots deep into the soil of the Word and find our life source in Christ. Part Three (The Way) is the practical walking out of the message. What does this look like in our daily lives? How do we practically apply this message? Each chapter within the sections begins with the story of a Thirsty Woman, and each chapter ends with a Well-Watered Woman statement that succinctly sums up the overarching message of the chapter. Excellently organized and lovingly structured! This would be a wonderful book to read with friends, and there’s a free Discussion Guide you can download to help facilitate a group setting. I highly recommend this book!

Gretchen Saffles offers gospel hope and encouragement throughout her book. It is clear that Gretchen desired that Well-Watered Women would bring hope and longing for God’s Word to her readers and it succeeded in that tremendously. Through careful application of God’s Word Gretchen speaks without condemnation to the women who are feeling patched and wilted in their spiritual journey. As a working mom, I’ve constantly struggled to get into God’s Word in a deep and meaningful way and Gretchen spoke hope and truth into this area of my life. She’s shown the ways that being a Well-Watered woman is a battle worth fighting for even in the driest hardest seasons of our lives. I am excited to share this book with other women in my life!

This book could not have come at a better time. I've been currently seeking God's direction and purpose and guidance in my life. He has highlighted three words for me to focus on this year. Remain, surrender, and set free. this book highlighted those three words over and over again. It helped ignite a fire in me to seek the living water. To become the well-watered woman. I related so much to many of the examples of a woman who is thirsty. I felt understood I felt seen I felt like I was no longer alone. This book has so much scripture weaved throughout it, which is comforting to know it's not another fluffy Christian book. All the truths that Gretchen shares are usually followed by a scripture reference. I took so many notes while reading this book. One of the quotes I love is when it says "the well-watered woman isn't the perfect woman. She's fueled by the undeserved grace of God, not by her ambitions to be a "good girl". She recognizes that the good within her comes from God alone (see Psalm 16:2 Galatians 5:22-23). Jesus has set her free from her past mistakes and she lives as a new creation (see 2nd Corinthians 5:17). I cannot wait for many of my friends and family to get this book into their hands to feel refreshed.
Refreshing scripture based truth!

What an incredible tool for growing your faith! Gretchen’s writing is real and relatable, making you feel as if she’s sitting across from you in Bible study or grabbing coffee together at your favorite shop. But it isn’t just her style that earned her a 5 star review, it’s the content. The book is Biblically based, filled with amazing references, and just stirs something inside. I don’t know of a single woman who could not relate to feeling spiritually dry and seeking to fill back up at the well. Gretchen doesn’t offer a magical formula but instead lovingly and gently redirects to the Lord and what is in His word for us. A fantastic read for any stage of your journey with the Lord!

Get This Book Now! I have absolutely loved this book! God is glorified in the everyday moments of our lives. No matter what happens it is so important to know that he is always available to pray to and hear from—in the Bible. Gretchen has graciously shared her story of how God has shaped her as she spends time with the Lord. This is not a “quick fix” method, but it does work and the reward is eternal.

The words in this book by Gretchen Saffles are so needed in the world today. They are powerful and filled with TRUTH that will water your soul. One of my favorite quotes from the book is: “Hold fast to the Word of God, and it will hold fast to you. Living a well-watered life doesn’t mean always being okay. It does mean you’re always growing more attached to Jesus and less attached to this world. Even in the daily, unseen moments, the Gardener is tending your soul and making you whole.” I highly recommend this book to every woman!
