Game Changer!!

This book was a game changer for me. I needing to start eating healthier and setting a better example for my kids but I didn’t know how to start. I needed a book to tell me exactly what I should be eating and this book does just that. I completed the 14 day detox and never looked back. I love the meal plans and recipes. That was the main reason I bought the book. So many of the recipes are delicious! The shopping list is very expensive but for me it was worth it. I will say that I did not follow the meal plan exactly because it just created way too much food and too many leftovers. So I ended up spending a lot of money on ingredients I did not even need or use. I think if I can figure out which recipes I’m going to make each week that will help me get organized on which ingredients I’ll actually need. I make notes on each recipe I’ve tried so I can remember what I liked or didn’t like about it and make tweaks to the ingredients for next time. The shopping list is very expensive. I was honestly floored that I spent nearly $400 and that was just week one. But for me it was worth it. I needed a complete diet overhaul. I think if I can plan which recipes I’m going to make each week that will help me get organized on which ingredients I’ll actually need. Now as far as the actual, physical book itself. Zero stars. Mine is falling apart!! The pages are coming detached from the spine. It’s very annoying and I’m having to try and tape it back together. Overall, I highly recommend this book if you’re like me and want to eat healthy but don’t know how to start or what that looks like in a sustainable way.

Tasty recipes, tips and photos to reboot your life, heal your mind, spirit and body. I was so thrilled for my favorite HGTV star Christina Anstead’s highly-anticipated debut book co-authored with her Nutritionist friend Cara Clark. So I bought five copies. I keep one for staging homes (beautiful front cover), one perched on my kitchen counter, and for gifts. My faves are her gut-friendly anti inflammatory tips + 14-Day Reset Meal Plan. Ie, Raw fermented cabbage is now a staple in my diet; I now feel the positive benefits. My fave recipes are: Fermented Cucumber Salad; Satay Lettuce Wraps; Blueberry Muffin Overnight Oats; Baked Oatmeal Bars and Peanut Butter Chia Chocolate Chip Muffins. I like how she includes helpful grocery lists, easy recipes, pantry staple must-haves, some meditation/work-out moves, some of the authors’ personal photos applicable to their lifestyles and topics. This work is without blemish!

I borrowed this book from the library, and I put yellow stickies on all the pages I wanted to copy (some recipes, exercises, etc.). After tagging about half the book, it made more sense to purchase the book! I teach yoga, meditation and nutrition, and this book covers everything people need to lead a good life. I've read lots of other books written by celebs in the last 1-2 years, and I feel that they always lack something. One book used too much profanity, another book had loads of exercises that you can only do at a gym or if you are very young. I needed something for 50+ that can be done at home. This book is it. Excellently written and has beautiful photographs. THANK YOU to the authors -- your work is without blemish -- it's perfect! Cathy in Texas

Can’t say enough good things!

Loved this book all the information is so easy to adapt to your everyday life. Christina and Cara make it so easy, I have read a lot of wellness books and this one by far has been my favorite, I loved chapter 7! The recipes are amazing and I am ready for my 14 day reset..

Hello Healthy Me

Wow!!! Great book...I am so inspired by the simple instructions explaining how to eat healthy for real. Starting all over relearning how to feed my body nutritious meals and snacks. The book was a well rounded book. From her background, exercise, recipes, and ideas to help mentally. I can relate to the thyroid problem. Was an easy read and the recipes were simple and the ones I made are definitely ones I’d make again.
