Description
Book Synopsis
Can your tail help you fly? asks the bird.
Can your tail help you swim? asks the beaver.
Can your tail swat bugs away? asks the bison.
It turns out the bear's tail does none of these things... and no matter how many creatures and critters he meets, he still doesn't know why he's got one. But does that mean Bear shouldn't love his tail?
Join Bear on his journey to learn all the reasons why some animals have tails-and that you never really need a reason to love your own body.
Review Quotes
"Children ages 3-7 will delight in joining Bear on his journey to learn... ...that you never really need a reason to love your own body. A fun and thoroughly 'kid friendly' read from cover to cover, this hardcover edition of There Doesn't Have to be a Reason is especially and unreservedly recommended for family, daycare center, preschool, elementary school, and community library picture book collections for young readers." - Midwest Book Review
"The muted color palette with its energetic illustrations will especially appeal to younger readers. Simple yet to the point, the message of self-acceptance is clear. Ultimately children will come away with the valuable lesson of appreciating themself as they are, instead of comparing your abilities with others." -- Youth Services Book Review
