Review Quotes
As a Certified Child Life Specialist with many years of experience working with grieving children, I absolutely love this book. I especially love that this book is appropriate to use with older siblings or the surviving twin as they grow older and parents are ready to share their story with them. Laura's approach to this book is perfect because it does not go into any specifics, allowing caregivers to use this tool as a starting point to make it more personal to their family as needed and when they are ready. It does not unnecessarily introduce any medical concepts or speculation for what may have happened. It is brief, honest, beautiful and supportive. It also has really great tips and guidance for caregivers to consider as their support their child in their loss and grief process. I use this book in my clinical practice and would not ever hesitate to recommend it to anyone in my personal life as well. -Private Practice Child Life Specialist
